Sometimes I feel like I’m the only Horde player who’s grateful for these queues.
I get how the queues hurt casual players with only a couple of hours to play each night, but I’m a no lifer. Honestly, having 20-25 min of free time between each AV has made my honor grind so much healthier than the first four weeks of Phase 2 were with the WPvP.
And I’ve been hearing about what a nightmare ranking on Alliance is, because not only do instant queues mean you have to keep playing AV back to back to back with no breaks, if you’re not also doing it in a discord premade, you’re not keeping up with those players who are either.
The instant queues over on Alliance side feel like a bit of a monkey’s paw to those who are serious about getting Rank 14 tbh. You guys will experience a helluva lot more burn out then we will at the top of your ladders, that’s for sure.
I’m a little worried about it, tbh, because the more Alliance PvPers that burn out on your horrendous grind, the worse Horde queues will get. 20-25 min is a good sweet spot, I ain’t looking for 40-60 min queues
Hopefully enough Horde quit/reroll to balance it out as time goes on.
EDIT: Also the amount of Horde crying about Alliance Premades in AV is pretty mind-boggling. Do you want to make your queues worse? Because trying to break up the Premade Scene over on Alliance is how you make queues a dozen times worse for us on Horde.
I’ll gladly take a loss or two here to a premade every once in a while (and even then we’ve managed to beat a few premades with fast reactions and recalls) over an hour+ long queue, tyvm
Why don’t you horde stop corpse camping players in the world for zug zug honor?
I literally cannot play anyone of my alts, and any level bracket for more than 5 minutes before getting griefed repeatedly.
I am supposed to care about your AV matches?
I am supposed to care that it takes you 20 minutes to get into a match?
What about that 20 minutes you just spent camping that alliance level 22, or 32, or 42?
Funny you want to talk about the social aspect of Warcraft… You all seem to think red=dead like this is Call of duty and camping the spawn points is part of the game.
This is an MMO where pvp can happen. The horde use this as an excuse to grief at any available opportunity, at any level.
Have fun with your queues, I’ll see you in the next premade.
funny it never happens to the horde right, Ally’s never camp players. this why I play PVE servers, I pick when I want to PVP and boy is the game stress free
All the horde tears fuel me. Poor, poor little hordies.
We used VOIP during VANILLA too, you know. I spent my last 3 weeks of the (crappy) 1.12AV + xserver roflstomping horde in preformed AV groups. Only we used ventrillo, not discord. You wanted xserver pvp? This is what you get.
Entirely disagree, the discords make AV feel more like a battlegroup with a smaller subsection of big xrealm pool and you can actually get to know some people, this is not something you can do without the discords, it’s almost as if we have a battle realm for alliance and I love it. You can cry more or you can reroll alliance if you dont wanna wait, if you pick the favorites everytime you’re gonna have to wait like everyone else over there.
We aren’t talking about griefing happening occasionally in world pvp…
We are talking about systematic geifing by the horde faction unless they for some bizarre reason outnumbered in the questing area.
It’s not even a question. If you see a horde player near the same area as you are trying to do a quest, YOU WILL BE JUMPED AND CAMPED as an alliance player.
I am not being hyperbolic when I say I cannot quest on any of my alts at any level before getting jumped and camped while attacking mobs.
I am not going to pretend this is just a thing that happens on my server, because I personally know some people who play horde, and that is how they spend their game time… they log in to grief. They are the same people who would only log in to do arenas in TBC. No dungeons, No raids, no professions…
There is an entire guild of level 19 twinks that camp Redridge on my server all day…
There is no such player mentality on the alliance, we have lives, and better things to do with our time then pay money to screw with people.
Blizzard has NEVER had any control - at all - for voice programs outside the game. Never. They didn’t “allow” these programs to be used, lol. They tried to get people to use their terrible in-game voice program, but almost no one does.
The fact that some of you believe that Blizzard has any say over what completely different companies do is laughable.
The only way that things would be different, is if INGAME groups are permitted to queue for AV, and that would make it easy for both factions to group up. But as Classic has been all but abandoned by Blizzard, that’s fairly unlikely.
Your entire post was good, but this part was especially correct. As someone who finished the grind (r14) at the end of vanilla (during the hideous xserver and 1.12AV), this is EXACTLY what happened. Endless back-to-back games will break a lot of people this time around. They don’t even have the fun of single server games at the beginning to get them to the final stages.
We warned people last year that this was going to happen with xserver BGs, and were shouted down.
Good thing I already got my Grand Marshal, and never need to do it again. Not even planning to rank this time around, unless it happens organically.
not all but some are joining up because it is so easy to forum a group and they can get carried by said group…its a proven fact that not as many alliance like pvp as horde. if you take that ease away from them some will stop …the more alliance that stop the longer our queue gets …I honestly dont care I hope we get to an hour long queue so I can farm gold, just an observation the same people who want take their ability to do this also seem to hate the queue…if you take their ability to do it it will have an effect on the queue
I don’t spend as much time here on the forums as a lot of you do. Are the Horde just generally douches on here or something? I’ve seen this sentiment all too frequently since I’ve been here more consistently over the past few days. I absolutely care about the Alliance player’s experience. It’s a game, I want everyone playing with me and against me to have a good time. Why wouldn’t I?
The alternative is Alliance not only gets the upper hand with map design, but also have the option to continue joining as premades versus an opposing faction raid of randoms with no comms? That isn’t reasonable.
I’ll tell you a secret: on alliance heavy servers, the alliance camps the horde. It has nothing to do with horde, it has to do with which faction is dominant. That’s all.
The API doesnt interact with vent/skype/any other third party voice comm in the slightest. That’s why they were never “supported”, there is literally no interaction.
