Have you tried connecting through a VPN? I was having the same issue with the WoW Companion app but was eventually able to resolve it by using a VPN.

I sent a scathing message to support over this. They never resolved it by giving any info, I resolved it myself by uninstalling the battlenet mobile app on my phone, then when using the authenticator mobile app, it shows a screen of it being “moved”. Don’t click on the link, instead just
Hit the X in the upper left hand screen and it’ll show the authenticator screen.

if new app refuses to accept my phone and wont log in ill just open ticket to have phone number removed from account and just cycle through passwords on a weekly basis in lieu of an authenticator. i refuse to go through hoops just to log in and be ignored. you dont get people to adopt new technologies by making them more frustrating to use that how you get people to refuse to do so.
If you won’t try what I’ve said now and you just want to be mad at everyone, then that’s on you. The tools to ask in several places were given. The internet also tells you how to deal with bugged app issues. You don’t seem to want help, you just want to be angry. Good luck.

it’s incredibly stupid, obnoxious and unclear but it actually doesn’t block the authenticator app.
If you tap the [X] on the “new home” prompt (Top left for Android) you’ll be taken to the authenticator as normal.
You can also temporarily remove the authenticator from your account.
If it helps anyone at all, I closed the Authenticator app and downloaded the Battle.net app straight from the app store instead of tapping the link they gave me.
Was able to make the move without any issues.
My bnet login session just expired. I’m sure that’s totally random and not something they sent out to force people to switch that auth asap.
God, I hate this reliance on phones. I don’t even have my own damn phone, I have to use my brother’s. Now I have to do this stupid crap.
Yeah just close that message and use the mobile authenticator. It is just letting you know that it will be moving in the future, we are just not in that future just yet.

There was NO RESPONSE THAT WAS IN ANY WAY HELPFUL.
Officially Blizz’s position is that the problem was fixed in Bnet app version 1.6.0. But it still continues for many people, myself included.
Angry has nothing to do with it.
Have you tried connecting through a VPN?
I don’t have one. Really can’t afford one.
Not sure why it would help, anyway… it’s not like I have any difficulty signing into any other Blizzard feature, just the Android app

I still don;t know why it should work, but apparently it does.
I downloaded a free trial of a vpn app and set it to a different location (UK, because setting it to US location doesn’t work), and suddenly the app signs in with no “Oops” message.
I do note that running the VPN seems to cause a huge drain on my battery, much the same way that using my mobile hotspot does. So it’s still not an optimal solution.
There are free ones out there and VPNs with free trials.
I had a similar issue. Could use the Authenthicator app but WoW Companion just wouldn’t log me in to my character. Connected through a VPN and resolved it, so it might be worth a try.
The VPN I used is NordVPN, which has a 30 day free trial.
You haven’t posted in Tech Support or CS about this issue. Have you tried these articles?
The second one look like they are for the PC launcher. I believe Twomoon was talking about the mobile Bnet app.
