Aus Sub Price Increase

Maybe… just MAYBE I’d be more supportive if they even came to the table on the latency issues plaguing the overworld in the last few years in the least.
Half the time cant even walk around Boralas.

Committed to supporting us? BLEH.

nearly two decade old game… Just not worth it.

In Australia?
In the USA this is nothing compared to a few other points in time.

If you go by percentage per capita it’s a lot…

US has 330 million+, Australia is 26 million…

It’s nice to pull something like that out now, The state of Victoria with 4 million people is only just coming out of a 6 month lockdown with only essential workers operating at that time. Best to look at the big picture. It peaked at 1 million unemployed, people just don’t up and recover so easy.

That is happening all over. Where I live they are shutting everything down yet again.

And if you lost your jobs then you have lots of time to earn gold in WoW to pay for game time.

WoW gold doesn’t pay for real food and shelter tho

Yeah…per capita thats probably a lot.
Aus. may have had a worse reaction. Some economies are able to bounce back better from stresses than others.
Hopefully this blows over soon enough and you all can get back to work :+1:
The one thing I think we all need to be concerned about is that we can ALL work and be able to support our families

No it doesn’t but that is outside the scope of this thread or are you asking blizzard to be sending you money?

I mean if American subs prices were going up these forums would be a dumpster fire right about now…perspective :sunglasses:

They ARE already HIGHER than your subs even after the increase.

Nah I’m loaded but I won’t pay the sub fee cause I didn’t think it was worth $15 to begin with.

Awesome. I wouldn’t pay them either with real money. However, it is ridiculously easy to make enough gold to pay for game time I am not sure why this thread even exists.

Somewhere at blizz hq:
"hmmmmm. We haven’t paid much attention to our oce players in a while. In fact, a blue hasn’t posted in their forum for the last few centuries. Let’s see what they’re up to! Hmmmmmm, I see, I see, they really wanted to fix that day/night cycle thing for the last few decades. Hmmmmmm. I know! Let’s not, and on top of that, let’s increase their sub price cause F em!"

True story btw.

Why are you even posting here? Obviously this thread has nothing to do with you as your not Australian and it has zero impact on you? Just trolling?

I would laugh if a blue post in that forum in the next few days about the fee increase. Someone was wanting more ‘service’ there.

Just ah, look at the correct stats. You want to be looking for effective unemployment rate, which is currently back at 11.3%.

We had well over a million unemployed, we slipped under that recently.

Now look at the biggest change - hours worked.

Key statistics

Seasonally adjusted estimates for September 2020:

  • Unemployment rate increased to 6.9%.

  • Employment decreased to 12,571,900.
  • Employment to population ratio decreased to 60.3%.
  • Underemployment rate increased to 11.4%.
  • Monthly hours worked increased by 9 million hours.

Thank goodness my sub ends on 21st Nov 2021 and I managed to beat the price rise for now :fearful:

Because they posted it on General Discussion instead of YOUR forum.
