Or a rich man would keep game same or cheaper to host and charge more.

Ya this game is in no way worth $20 in any currency. sigh
Will the price gouging by companies ever end…

Australian are having it tough due to the pandemic? I thought you barely had a problem there with it.

I am pretty sure the price increase is due to your dollar/exchange rate. In any case, if you buy game time with gold it won’t affect you anyway.

Yeah we went from under 5% unemployment to over 20% in under 6 months, gov support is ending very soon, many thousands have closed their buisnesses forever, millions lost their jobs, millions more have had their working hours reduced.

Just got an email from Blizzard stating that if we ( OCE players ) stay subbed as a courtesy for current subscribers, you will keep your current price until 11.59pm 14 June 2021 AEST. You will not be charged the new price until your next billing occurrence after this date and time.

If this is the case then why no change to NZ who has a lower rate than aud?

Your dollarydoos are at an 18-year-low. Businesses can’t just do well—they need to grow or their stock drops.

It’s stupid, but that’s how it works.

I have no idea but I am sure there is a reason that relates to cost of doing business if they aren’t going straight off exchange rates. Also considering Australia is still paying less than people in the US I wouldn’t be complaining too much.

Australia locked whole states down causing huge economic problems, so for Covid cases not many because of how strict the lockdowns were. As other said huge job losses and businesses gone.

All I can say is, greedy greedy blizzard, during a time when the economic of the world is in crisis they raise prices…

Well you should let your news people know it is 20% because from where I stand this looks pretty good.

Australia’s unemployment rate hits 6.9%, with 29,500 more people losing jobs.Oct 14, 2020

Just a FYI they already did this in 2018 in regards to all shop prices and left NZ untouched back then.

I look at this game just like I do any other hobby I have…is it worth the price.
Currently…and for now…yes, it is. $15 a month…$20 a month…for something I sometimes sit here playing for 10 hours in a day while Im ‘working’ (lol) is about the price of a pizza…and about 1/3 to 1/2 the cost of a four hour round of golf.

Im more amazed they havent jacked the price up by $5 a month across the board yet.

Unemployment is the worst it’s ever been and we even said we in a recession, it’s over a million people unemployed the worst it’s ever been.

Heck I lost my job due to covid-19…
