Not what I said in any way, but if you like putting words in people’s mouth then I can’t stop you.
Aug isn’t going anywhere, so QQ more.

Like I care what some lvl 55 dk thinks
Wow’s dynamic would never actually work with a support class and augment is proof of that
How do rogues…aka assassins…work as a bard? It makes no logical sense.
Assassin is a spec, not the class.
Well, besides making 22-24 DPS specs have a hard time enjoying M+ pugging like they could probably get away with in 10.1.0, and now depending on another player of a specific spec to be able to heal the same world rank keys, causing other specs (casualties) to be nerfed because of their interactions with the weird little buff bot, and playing the spec myself and timing 3 levels higher than the specs I want to be playing while also playing worse, I would say the place on the doll is my heart, my hands, and my mind.
Ozzy plays he would totally make a bard
Rogue is so much more ambiguous than Assassin. It’s essentially “Scoundrel”. Or some other word for people who do something more underhanded in nature. Bard fits in there as Most Bards are rogues but not all rogues are bards, that kind of trope.
If you’re not familiar with the fantasy Archetypes, that’s probably why you don’t see the connection.
Deception, Guile, Subtlety, those are all things a performer would use. But also a rogue. Sneaking around requires dexterity. So do musical instruments. it goes on…
There’s just a lot of parallels. It’s a common fantasy trope. Or an easy line to draw.
As far as all the “evoker doesn’t work” stuff, great. That’s fine. Just means they need to design it better. Can they? Probably not. But idc at this point.
Nah, just gonna be 80% damage, 20% buff by the end of the expansion. Gonna be tough to get KSM without your spec hard carrying you.
Really? I would have thought Aug is further proof Blizz should stay in their lane.
This post gave me an unexpected, but much needed, laugh; so, thank you!
I laughed even harder when I got to this reply. The idea of Gnomes playing an electric keyboard and humans strumming a banjo just strikes me as funny… I must be in some sort of silly mood, or something, tonight.
Sorry for the cow pun. I’ll see myself out.
They’ve lost sight of the lane. We’ve been offroading for almost a decade now.
Tell that to the bard in different inns everywhere in azeroth, rogue class hall in legion. Harp items in Hardenweld.
We never had Evoker fantasy before DF and the invented it, they can do the same for bards.
We’re getting bards, mark my words
They can just invent bards fantasy like they did with Evoker? We never had any sight of evoker before DF unless I’m wrong?
This is Blizzard.
You’re asking for another wish from the monkeys paw.
At this point in the game you just embrace the monkeys paw.
They couldnt even re-release classic content without digging their claws in.
Just gotta roll with it imo
I mean it’s a pretty classic RPG trope.
Mage what weaves magic into their rhythm to empower allies, heal, or harm enemies.
Do they give you buffs? That’s kind of a requirement when it comes to the bard fantasy. As far as we know, those are just musicians, nothing more.
Except evoker is a new thing, and as far as we know, is the bard of the Warcraft universe. Why can’t we be satisfied with this version? Why must it be exactly musical buffing? Something that doesn’t make sense as a new standalone class, neither as a spec.
If done well, it could have turned great. Look at Oldschool Runescape.
Doesn’t mean it would’ve worked for WoW though.
