Lets be honest here, a bard hitting with say a steel violin would probably hurt.
Make the class “Preformer” and the specs can be Bard, Dancer, Mime. Boom!
Everyone would just cry to nerf Bard.
Why would a bard class have to be an augmentation class rather than DPS? Ever heard of noise space marines?

My opinion is that Blizz should nerf aug into non-viability, at least for M+.

Sure as soon as we get Undead Shamans
google search for an old game from the 90s called - The Bard’s Tale. It was interesting and it might be decent - they had weapons like Ice horns and fire horns and when used would shoot out fire or ice. There were other items like flutes that when played would heal. Stuff like that.
bard seems useless in a game like World of Warcraft.
if world of warcraft had NPC’s that had dialogue and choices and required negotiating/karisma to do certain things then i could see a bard being good for that. or gets a buff in all gathering/crafting professions and cooking and fishing, like things ONLY a bard can do.

if you guys are here talking about bard, im just going to throw in my coin and say lets get us some lumberjacking/ship/boat building and player housing where carpenters can build furniture. also lets please bring back ammunition and arrows for hunters. one person made a post last week about how hunters are just halling unlimited arrows out of their pants.
let me kill a bird, take its feathers, chop some wood, make the shafts and create some beauty arrows. bolster up that auction house with rare arrow/ammo mats.

The main issue here is that there is ONE support class.
Remember when classes like Shaman were the only ones with Bloodlust? And Paladins had Blessings?
We’ve basically gone back to how the game used to be.
But the game hasn’t been designed like that in years, and it’s at-odds with how the game currently operates. Aug threw a wrench into the whole meta.
Show us on the doll where the Aug hurt you Rita. Good lord your hate for that spec is a bit much.

Only for the min maxers. Those of us who have fun with the game just play what we enjoy.
thats great that you play what you want, my whole critique was that aug has fundamentally warped the high end meta game which is still a valid complaint

So, you only meant to imply they’re capable of adding a new spec? The problem was people thought they didn’t know how to?

be careful posting new ideas - there is a person in forums called - Orintaur. He hates ideas that he did not make himself. He will rudely troll people if he hates the idea
We need 4th specs for already existing classes, but a Bard class with a dps/support/healer specs would be welcomed.
I’m among the “want bard” crowd but please don’t cannibalize Outlaw spec for it. And if you have to have that pea brained idea to do so, at least give fist weapons to the other two rogue specs because I am NOT going to suffer through the existence of daggers again.
the existing 38 specs being massively imbalanced is a big indication that this game needs some love before we bring in more specs/class
