Exactly, augmentation evoker is wow’s version of the bard. Why do we need another?
aug is proof that support classes don’t work in wow, though.
don’t you see all the threads that complain about how augment has made the game feel worse to play?
I think if you had “totems” that were Marshal half-stacks, and your weapon was an “axe” (something gnarly like an SG look) that would be pretty sweet.
But if folks wanna RP John Denver, you know, who am I to say that’s not right. Maybe replace the SG with a Martin? And some tambourines for totems
Be like Paganini and shred. I think for his time folks thought he was possessed by the devil - using tritones I think it was.
Aug is proof that another support spec WOULDN’T work in this game, because Aug is actively not working in the context of this game.
I’ve seen them. I bask in them. It’s such sweet music to my ears, you know? People are losing their minds over it on this board.
Of course, this board is lowest of the low when it comes to wow discourse and pretty much everyone is wrong all the time. It’s a nonstop circus and a great place to get some personal satisfaction of watching people who have no idea what they are talking about run their mouths like they’re experts.
This thread is just one of many that a guy like me can get their kicks. Thanks for your contributions.
It’s been working fine for me!
If we let a team of dwarves do this during a raid, I cannot see how we can refute the ultimate necessity of a bard class.
The SIDH iridium is a better jam, but this shows an entire team so it seems more raid appropriate.
It can work but it would require the shift from 3 dps, 1 tank, 1 healer to 2 dps and 1 support instead which is not something that should be done mid expansion in a smaller patch.
Even then, they’d have to create a bunch of other support specs so Aug isn’t just as mandatory with 6-man dungeons as it is in 5-man dungeons.
And at that point, in a raid setting you’ll just run an absurd number of various support specs, juice up specs like Unholy, Demo, and Arcane that have these extreme, frontloaded damage profiles, and you’re back to square one.
a really spicy and unpopular opinion but i’d rather they work current specs into support ones to prevent a massive bloat.
aug vokers actually make the game less fun to play. completely serious.
mythic plus dungeons are so much easier with aug vokers, they aren’t even a challenge anymore.
now, before you say, oh just dont invite an aug voker to your group:
whenever i join a mythic plus group there is an aug voker in it.
whenever i make my own group, if i don’t get an aug voker, people just leave because they want to play the game on easy mode.
i mean, do you blame them? who wants to work hard to achieve something when you can just get it for free?
You’re level 55, buddy. You aren’t pushing any keys.
What weapon would bard be using since there are 0 instrument weapons in game? They wouldn’t be able to get any weapons upgrade starting at level 1 or any other level.
I love the dude rocking out on the $50 drum set from Toys R Us.
The whole video made me laugh. There’s some LFR stuff going on for sure.
Want to play a bard? Buy some books and go play DND
but bard is bad. so is necro. so is… shudder … tinker
As a Bard player in FFXIV…
I’ve seen people complain that a lot of groups want Aug, so I think that just shows Aug is working pretty well. Perhaps too well and enforcing a particular “meta”? Sure, and more adjustments will come I’m sure to help that.
In my opinion, I’ve enjoyed the addition of Aug. They’re fun to play and group with. And most people I’ve interacted with have the same sentiment. But that’s just my experience
