Auction house changes, yay or nah?

almost like there is a rarity on it or something.

Except… it isn’t. Not any more than DBM or EZ-scrap, or any number of other addons.

“i have this limited rolex watch that it worth 1 million dollars to the right buyers out there, but you seem to want it give me 100k”

at what point tho do you lower the price? I know this guy who’s had 2 white rhino’s. I know he spent about 2.5mil getting them, and he hasn’t been able to sell them since legion came out.

so then he continues to be patient for the price he wants. this is literally the same as how it would work in the real world do you not see that?

I think this has also been made worse by so many guides saying to farm Uldaman, and people just post every mog they find.

I’m not stupid. I realize that items are worth what they’re worth. I just don’t see the point of posting an item every 2 days for years on end. I’d rather churn through inventory making medium gains than trying to nail that one big score.

I call it the goblin disease. How much is enough?

I didn’t get them to do anything, I just started the thread for people to discuss the change. I’m nobody.

most people don’t sit with a single high item…its just in addition to the regular postings…

If you understood the mathematics behind it, as you claim to without actually responding to most of my posted reply to you, then you would see the point in reposting certain items for long periods of times IF the numbers worked out.

I’m not that greedy.

This is an excellent change. The economy should be for the ones actually playing the game and need the items from the AH, not the ones that do not play and just sit 30 low lvl toons on 30 different servers manipulanting the economy for nothing. Most of the players controlling the economy dont even have BFA. Kudos.

okay, then what did he get the rhino’s for? what is he trying to make on them? what is his greed exactly?

It’s easy when you can have a mod do the hard work for you, people might actually start reevaluating if something is worth selling if they can’t mass post in a few minutes.

Some call it “greed,” others call it “understanding business fundamentals and making a profit.”

If I told you that I would give you either $100 in ten days or $10 in three days, would you seriously take the latter?

Thats the whole purpose of being a goblin. Its not greed. You just don’t want to get the full amount for an item.

These are the changes we need.

/facepalm.

i did enjoy how you gave such an extreme example of “greed” though by talking about how long someone has had an incredibly rare 2.5m item up for…good one

I only know this guy because he’s been on the server forever. He’s the kind of guy who thinks that if an item is worth X amount, he’s getting X amount no matter what. I can’t tell you his exact motivations, I just know he’s been sitting on them forever.

Kind of a running joke when I see him. I always ask if he has a rhino for sale.
