Oh right, I forgot: we’re not playing the way we’re supposed to.
Sad thing is he’ll blame Shadowlands’ issues on “Covid” and not have to own the fact that he’s lead the team that’s now produced two laclustre, poorly-received and reviewed expansions in a row.
I just wish they added in other features they had in previous expansions as extra filler.
Why is the brawlers guild missing this expansion?
Why were the Korthia rifts not revamped island expeditions?
Please bring scenarios back.
And plenty other non raid/dungeon features that could be added and reflavoured for the current expansion. Don’t need to make new systems, just make old ones relevant again.
Because, that takes time and money. Two things that Blizz is intent on not spending on old-world content. I said for the entire BFA expansion, 'why not have azerite all over the world? It would give new life to the old world and you could have azerite empowered mobs and bosses that scale to current level".
But that means they have to write new code for the old world and we can’t have that because they don’t want to do old world content. I remember reading that somewhere, wish I could cite it.
I don’t understand this Rush I’m bored go go I need more content I completed everything mentality.
I’d rather wait a long time and see quality content but I also understand that you could lose a lot of players. But I see it on the positive side where you’d have a large number of people come back for good content
If they put out quality content that kept us engaged for long periods of time, this wouldn’t be an issue. But instead, they put out rehashed, half-baked concepts that people tell them in beta are bad, then they timegate it and expect people to be okay with that.
End game may have sucked in Warlords, but I still had a lot to do that was enjoyable. There were smaller side questlines that were actually interesting, the storyline was more engaging in the zones, we had the garrisons to play with, etc. Cata felt similar to me, except with better end game content. So did BC and Wrath. Mists… it was okay to me, but it did have Cloud Serpent, Timeless Isle, Klaxxi, Thunder Isle, etc. So there was engaging content there, as well. Same with Legion.
But after that… things just didn’t pan out. BfA was not that engaging, it felt very forced, almost too linear, and gated behind rep that wasn’t much fun to gain.
Shadowlands… dropped the ball on all of it, imo. Everything. Failed at storylines, failed at engaging content, doubled down on the timegating, everything is completely on rails… it’s just… not fun.
So now, people just want it to be over.
So I agree with you: I’d love them to take their time and we get quality content. But we haven’t recently. So patience is wearing thin for some people.
Shadowlands has a story? I thought it was just poorly written fanfiction from somebody that idolizes an undead banshee. Like donsor
You forgot one patch in a year , utterly pathetic from a multi-billion dollar company. I still think the current devs owe us an apology for letting us down so hard
agreed make azeroth great again, remove pandas gnomes and vulpera. along with this silly faction bias. 17 years of horde vs alliance mentality when you devs have made the last 4 boring expansions alliance an horde working together to complete things. not to mention borrowed power garbage too.
The second that I catch wind that there will a year long content drought…I’m unsubbing.
This is a horrible idea. It would force them to rush 10.0 which will result in another poorly designed x-pack while still having players leave during the drought.
Mediocre content is better than no content.
I’m already regretting renewing for another 6 months but the Hearthstone card packs were just to tempting
You had one patch in a year…one patch. Them rushing anything would be a godsent right now because one patch for a multi-billion dollar corporation is completely insane. This begs the question what in the hell are their Devs doing. Because it’s certainly not working
