I think they’re just trying to back into any corner they can as they’ve been outed/bashed by everyone and can’t accept they’re wrong/don’t know the system

Fact remains, Blizzard intentionally designed public orders not to allow specified quality. Blizzard has spoken on this before in blue posts, which have been linked in this thread. You provided mats for Item A. You ordered Item A. You paid a commission for Item A. You got Item A. You put in the comments “Give me a Rank 5”, and the crafter said “no, I don’t think I will, since that isn’t part of what you paid for on this order, and my concentration is not free”.
If you paid a legit commission (i.e. one that covers a base commission for doing the craft plus a bonus for any required concentration to hit Rank 5), that sucks, and I agree that the crafter who took your mats and gold. It is also not the fault of the system that has been explicitly designed NOT to allow you to specify quality. You should have known better, and it is unfortunate that things did not work how you wanted them to.
I suggest you take this as a lesson learned. Feel free to advocate for changes you want to see, but you need to recognize that whining about a system working as designed and intended because you didn’t properly understand it is not exactly a strong argument.
But you didn’t go to a restaurant. You ordered DoorDash. I don’t think you’ll find a DoorDasher willing to bring your burger back to the restaurant and ask for a fresh one, unless you are willing to tip them well enough to cover costs - which is functionally no different from paying for a recraft.

Someone posted here that they intentionally made a T4 for someone, so how does that not factor in?
You posted a public order expecting a guarantee of quality.
That was your mistake. Public orders are a lottery. You played, you lost.
The notes box existing or not existing does not change that.
You’re just complaining to complain at this point.

/You/ made the “mistake” because you used a system that very obviously doesn’t guarantee S5, you wanted to bypass using trade chat because you wanted to be a cheapskate and pay nothing for an end game item.

Wrong. I posted a public order ASKING for a specific quality from the crafter. I EXPECTED someone to honor it. It’s not a lottery because there are real people making it. Crafter decided to not honor the request.
Someone didn’t honor my request of making an expensive, hard to craft item for pennies on the dollar, boohoo

Correct, and you have no way to make them honor it.
Use the system properly next time.
Right, which means that people can abuse the system.
If it isn’t that hard, go make a JC alt and level up the profession specifically to craft the item at R5.
It takes dozens of hours leveling the profession, and investing all your starter KP into the tree specifically to make that item, on top of most likely spending their concentration that takes 24 hours just to refresh 240 of it.
Not to mention from the sounds of it another 150 acuity just to obtain your recipe

We buy things all the time that carry the “quality” seal and break right after the guarantee. Nobody “honors” anything, and you should know this.
Well the other items I asked for T5 came back as T5.
At this point i just get the image of a child stamping their feet and yelling because they didn’t get their way; they want the whole world to know theyre mad and nothing will make them less mad and reeeeee reeeeeee.
That’s what you’re acting like at this point.
Nobody on GD can help you more than has already been tried.
