Asked for T5, got T4. Now I have to waste acuity for a recraft

Youre petty

You said it was 5. Assuming 1k is very generous.

I’m surprised people are taking this thread seriously after three days and don’t realize the person is trolling.

They don’t care about the tier 4 craft. They got what they wanted riling people up about the crafting system with their troll logic. Shame on you all for letting this thread and troll thrive for far too long

My willingness to spend conc or skill reagents depends on your tip and quality of mats provided. If youre only tipping 500g, then youre getting what you get. If your mats arent r3 mats, same story. Tip 5k+ with r3 quality mats and ill gladly spend it to make a r5 quality product. Im not wasting over a third my conc for the same amount of gold i can get from a world quest.

Then don’t take the order?

Or I can and take the $1000 and give them R4 or less.

They aren’t likely trolling based on their other thread on professions, they just have this sort of ‘thinking’.

They just need a minimum rank for public orders and problem solved, but in the mean time all you need to do is ask in trade chat and hope that person is also not a troll.

Thinking of work orders IRL actually made me laugh too hard especially your scenario. It makes me wanna try a couple.

Starting with yours, leave a gassed up mower and 40 bucks with a sign “please only take this if you do this job without missing any spots.”

Or giving someone a bunch of ingredients and an extra 20 bucks with the request “please make me a meal worthy of Michelin star restaurant.”

because that would make public orders useless to most crafters , public orders for most crafters are for gaining skill points and knowledge points. Blizzard has stated many times if you want a guarenteed rank , personal orders ( or guild orders) are what you need .

The each part of the crafting system has its main use and is working as intended and is an excellent system

And for people getting items crafted: public is for quick and dirty, quality doesn’t matter I just want this item fast.

yep --and we should also add things like enchanted crests that dont have a rank

Yep, my leather tanks all placed public orders for the belt with a proc just because I wanted them to have it. I think I got two rank 3 and one rank 4 but I can have them recrafted later if I start actually pushing content.

I’ll use a public order with R2 mats for an alt I don’t really plan to push with.

Everything for main goes to either a guildie or a friend.

You made a public order. Your first mistake

Public orders are kinda useless, theres like 5095059 people spamming messages for your tier 5s and people arent limited to 5 of them so you are more likely gonna get someone to do it for cheaper if you just do a private order. Public orders are for things like inscription scrolls where quality isnt a concern and you are just helping people leveling out.

I don’t really see an issue with allowing rank anymore. Sure, everyone will always pick highest rank… ok… so 1 of 2 things happens:

  1. Order languishes because no one can do highest rank (early xpac) or you didn’t provide sufficient tip.
  2. Order gets fulfilled because tip is sufficient and crafter can either guarantee it and/or use concentration to hit it.

I frankly don’t see the problem. Especially with each crafter still having a limit on how many orders per day they can do (so 1 crafter can’t snipe them all).

I will. The only reason I’m not doing more public orders now (besides the fact that there rarely are any) is that I still can’t make most things people are asking for at rank 5 yet. But as soon as I’m there, I’ll be watching public orders and will be willing to do whatever it takes to provide the best quality

I still have no interest in participating in the trade chat spamming, so public orders are the only way to find me.

I don’t want to see it because I don’t think it is necessary, it will affect the amount of guild and personal orders and it will drive the price of crafted items down.

I read the OP and several after, no I did not read what was 700+ replies at that time. Most people would not.

I still stand by what I said despite your trolling. Wild I know.
