Asked for T5, got T4. Now I have to waste acuity for a recraft

Well use a personal order and set to T5 , i dont get it

Getting you to re-craft is good for blizzard. They get another 5% of the commission and the 5 g for posting the order and the extra mats you bought/used. Its a win win for Blizzard.

Eh, why not go for 800 posts, nobody is ever going to agree on this.

I use public orders for stuff that I dont care about quality. If Im just collecting appearances, I’ll throw it up on POs.

I ask my guild for anything that I need to be specific quality. I dont even have to go talk to someone new, I just talk to people I already talk to every day.

I’m not against adding a quality requirement to public orders, it’s just that if I’m using it, I’m either 1. aware that I’m taking a chance or 2. not really caring about the outcome and trying to help someone else improve.

Guild and Personal orders are for you. Public orders are for the public. Might as well be rolling up a letter and putting it into a bottle and throwing it out to sea.

However… I will say that 80-90% of all public orders I have made with high grade mats have come back L5. Maybe that’s just my server though. I don’t know.

you cant expect the honor system in a game full of honorless curs, like the ones trying to defend the clearly problem riddled system.

No problems with the system other than the OP trying to use it to get something that the system is not designed to do (minimum quality setting).

As long as the statement is true, then I am willing to die on that hill. Someone does something to screw one person over and then complains that they are outed for it is not harassment in my definition. I grew up in a world before stress cards were available to make people stop talking though.

Time saving tip, just hit search at the top with nothing selected, it will check for all public orders. Over the course of the expansion I’ve gotten less than 10 public orders.

The one I see most commonly thrown out in public is the enchanted crests (which don’t have ranks) and you see a scramble of enchanters trying to get them after it is posted in trade.

For a BS, I’m not sure what you would expect to find in public that doesn’t have a rank with it. I just checked my recipes (including unlearned) and everything has ranks except Everforged Ignition (BS Crafting Bonus that is BoP), the Coreforged Repair Hammer (must be BS to use), and the Coreforged Skeleton Key. The PVP items all have ranks although I don’t know if anyone cares about them.

I mean this is literally explained in the intro quest for crafting orders, not sure what to tell you. Find someone who can guarantee it and agree on a price

While I understand Blizzard thinks people would always just put max rank for these, instead they are just not putting them up at all. Apparently Blizzard thinks none is the best option.

No, we’re doing it because you don’t think it’s wrong.

700 posts of “haha sucks to be you, you got what you asked for, working as intended, shouldn’t be changed” and I have a right to take that seriously.

Whatever gave you the impression I don’t think it’s wrong?

Two wrongs don’t make a right.

If you think a system is bad, advocate for it to be changed.

Punishing others because you feel you were wronged is not the way to improve anything.

Like the 700 posts before you said, show me where it’s wrong. The game doesn’t think it’s wrong. The community doesn’t think it’s wrong.

Post in the suggestions forum for a change to the system.

Maybe you’ll find there are folks who agree with you.

Nah you do that. I think it’s fine the way it is. The 700 posts laughing at the OP convinced me.

just as good as the threads when someone crafts the wrong lego in shadowlands or the wrong tier at the catalyst. or the wrong vault item. LOL

I could see with inspiration but now with ingenuity and concentration there’s no excuse.

For not requesting the rank you want in a personal order if you care about rank? Agreed.

I have more interaction than that I always ask them if they need anything else made becauseI have all professions

Well no I mean now you 100% know what rank is the outcome when crafting. In DF you could try and fail to get it due to chance and I’d say ok they tried(I’d send mats back if I failed then). Today there’s no excuse for someone making a 4 star if you put up max mats or explicitly stated 5 star as concentration is a definite thing.

A reminder that adding a minimum quality setting to public orders prevents no one from NOT using that system and spamming trade if they prefer that method.
