Asked for T5, got T4. Now I have to waste acuity for a recraft

only people who are getting ripped off are the clowns that let RNG decide the fate of their item

The public crafting system exists for items to be made quickly, without needing a crafter or guild. They can be filled by anyone to level professions and don’t allow minimum rank. Again: See car in the lake. It’s not a rip off if you use something for a purpose it is not designed for.

Probably was more simple to leave them in. And there are items which you might not care as much about ranks but still have ranks, green pvp gear would be one and I’ve made a couple tools/accessories that way as the +skill stat doesn’t scale with ranking.

Because if you ‘fix’ public orders, you break private orders. You break how gear-crafters make their gold. You break the entire crafting system and make gear-professions a complete waste of time.

Public orders and private orders work in tandem. Like I’ve said. Different use cases.

You are actually claiming that less people being able to fill orders is more accessible. Trolling you are then.

The system isn’t flawed, people not understanding how to use it is the problem.

So basically you’re saying when it comes the using the public order system the answer is just don’t.

Have you considered literacy?

no were saying use it for things like crests that dont have a rank attached to them…

that’s not remotely what was said.

No, I’m saying if you want a specific rank, use personal order.

You just want the item and rank isn’t really an issue? use public order.

Why would I ever use a public order system when it can result in an outcome I didn’t pay for?

It cannot result in an outcome you didn’t pay for.

Because you wouldn’t, you’d use personal order for that.

Green gear, even blue gear sure. Once you start getting into purple gear people are going to want max rank stuff. Mats alone are a big investment in either time or gold. Blizz should just delist those items from the public system so people won’t mistakenly set themselves up to be ripped off.

I did once and I can tell you it put me off ever using the public system again. Now I only do private orders I or a friend can make.

Sounds to me like there is no reason for the public order system to exist at all. We should bring back the glory of /trade.

I’m honestly having a hard time understanding this argument.

Personal orders require you writing a specific name, public orders dont.

So you use public orders when you don’t care who does them.

We agree on this right?

Now, this system lets you put in the quality you want - yes?

Now, making this quality be required, this single change, breaks the entire system?

If that’s the case, why should people be able to state what quality they want, and why is it perfectly fine when people ignore that request?

My suggestion is simply that if someone wants rank 5, then it needs to be rank 5 when you craft it. Right now, people message me, complete strangers, and refuse to let me craft if it’s not rank 5.

You are saying that if this “social interaction” happens via a public order instead, then professions as a whole are ruined?

or learn from your own mistakes and dont have blizz be oversighted on every aspect of the game.
