This analogy doesn’t work.
In the game, you put the materials up and HOPE that someone makes a T5 from it, even if you ask for that.
You don’t walk into a mall, throw the mats on the ground and HOPE a tailor picks it up and makes it right.

Anyone who is okay with a flawed system that lets you put in materials for a specific outcome and then not receive said outcome is probably benefiting from it in some way.
Yet hardly anyone used the public order system.
And whenever you ask them, the top answer is “because you can’t set the minimum quality”
So you are effectively defending a system, that people hardly use due to a specific aspect, and you want to argue that you can’t fix that aspect because it would ruin the public order system …that people aren’t already using.
I mean, people aren’t spamming trade chat because they find it better than the public order system, so strange to simultaneously defend both spamming and the public order system. One exists precisely because of the issues in the other system.
They can do that without any of the systems we are speaking about, they just make level 1 alts.
You’re completely ignoring the point. Not surprised.
I say give it a shot and see which way works better for the community. They can change it back later if it’s a horrendous failure.
Why should we try something that runs counter to the purpose? We could try making mythic raids a solo-queue experience where everything dies in 20 seconds to autoattacks too, but that is not a reason to do so.
Maybe more people would be compelled to farm crests to make higher level crafts if the system was more accessible.
The system is accessible. Your suggestion would make it less accessible. You clearly do not understand the system if you cannot understand that very basic fact.
No one saying they are ok with it, they are all saying there is already a system in place that prevents this.
sure, your wrong, but yeah we get that.
Actually it is. If you are doing progress content then you wouldn’t care I guess because you would replace it pretty quick.
you are so out of touch with people pushing content its wild those people are the ones that care the most LOL
Your suggestion would make it less accessible.
You have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about at all.
You clearly do not understand the system if you cannot understand that very basic fact.
You cannot get a result other than what you specify.
Why does the flawed system exist in the first place and why are you defending its existence?
i have not considered dr pepper as any particular flavor but i think bbq sauce and dr pepper do have quite similar qualities and it would not exactly be incorrect to infer that it was bbq sauce flavored
Less people being able to do the craft is less accessible. If you cannot accept that, you are trolling.
Why does the flawed system exist in the first place and why are you defending its existence?
“why do hammers exist if i can’t use them to cut this lumber? we need to fix hammers”
I’m not even sure what your point is, if it was the old LFG before cross realm dungeons became a thing I might understand your point… People didn’t use it anyway, they used chat to make groups.
But the LFG we have now isn’t even close to what it was when it was first implemented.
It is not a flawed system. A car isn’t a flawed system because you tried to take it speedboating and it sank, that is not its intended use case.
Fact: Dr. Pepper was an actual doctor that wanted to create a flavour that was reminiscent of his pharmacy. There’s a reason is tasts like caugh syrup.
Why does the flawed system exist in the first place
do you have an option that allows for you to create an order with the specified result? if your answer is yes then its not a flawed system. if your answer is no then quit tryiing to do public orders.
Does the public order system exist just so you can rip people off?
Less people being able to do the craft is less accessible.
If you’re attempting to suggest quality limits on public orders would make it less accessible because fewer people could fill the order you’re trolling yourself.
Hardly any public orders that need higher quality are posted and the few people who gamble with it like the OP get screwed by someone who just filled the order for the gold they could get by putting no effort into crafting other than getting the base recipe.
Far more public orders would be posted by many orders of magnitude if we had quality limited on public orders.
