Asked for T5, got T4. Now I have to waste acuity for a recraft

Ok, reflect on what you just wrote:

-There’s an option for specific quality

Right, I am simply saying to make it mandatory like it with NPCs and personal orders. One change that builds on what is already in place.

The folks championing this suggestion are also ignoring that adding minimum quality to public orders completely invalidates guild and personal orders.

that dude is correct

if people can set max quality in public orders then they will struggle to even level their profession…

Patron Work orders are Personal Work orders from NPCs, that’s why there’s quality levels. If they were available as public orders there would never be any available because people would snipe them.

Personal orders are there if you want a specific quality. Take the 5 minutes to look at trade chat. It would much more effective use of your time than complaining on the forums for a system to change to suit your needs when options are available to you.

Exactly.

How does it invalidate personal order and guild orders?

The people currently spamming aren’t people who have guildies or friends they can send their order to, otherwise they would.

I dont think ive actually said my stance on if public orders should have a minimum.

I think personal orders are a pita and hold no social value whatsoever.

However… we dont need two systems that do the exact same thing.
If public orders got minimums, then personal orders have no reason to exist.
And people like having others come to them for business.

So public shouldnt get minimums.
But if someone leaves a note, others should try to repect the buyers wishes.

because why wait just slam public down and be done…

Thats true. But, I hardly see stuff on the trade post as is. So if everything was public I could maybe make more orders and stuff if they let me. JS.

I wouldnt have to spam trade. The post is my main source of income in WoW. I use all my con each day at the post. But it takes for ever some times to get a order.

It is mandatory. In the places designed with a minimum quality as an intended feature.

Let’s get rid of LFG, then.

LFG is akin to a personal order, LFR is akin to public. i agree yeet LFR

You would still do personal and guild orders to get a craft done more cheaply if you cared about that. Maybe also to get a friend or guildy crafting skill levels.

As has already been mentioned when this “argument” is mentioned.

how so? with public you can pay however much you want…

But a crafter doesn’t have to take it.

If you make a public order that requires people’s concentration for 1 silver, do you think someone is going to waste 1 in 4 public orders AND their slowly regenerating concentration to fill that order?

I fill my friends private orders for nothing. I’m not going to do random people’s public orders for nothing.

just like someone can sit on a personal order?

It wouldn’t be cheaper, because at worst you’d have to give the value of your guildie, at best you get it cheaper.

If you are going to get rid of LFG, you’d also have to get rid of cross realm and cross faction play for all non queueable content.

The solution to this is to find a crafter through the Trade Chat and speak to someone (I know, a terrible thing to have to do in an MMO) who can craft the item for you.

Public orders are for doing things on the cheap, where you don’t care about quality (say on an alt you’re not that fussed about) or the quality doesn’t matter (Crests). If you want something done to a high-tier standard, you should use the private or guild orders.

I guess it depends on the kind of people you’re in a guild or friends with.

My friends send me orders for 1 silver and I fill them.

Try to find someone who will do a rank 5 public order for 1 silver.
