Theres a difference, You have no practical knowledge of this, please don’t speak like you do.

i explained that to them already and they didn’t get it THEN, either. lol
If I take it as the gm do u think the guild will disband because I want warglaives too so idk if I should take the mount and the guild disband before I get my warglaives
if you give either of those things to yourself just cuz you’re the GM your guild will not be considered a good one. unless you state explicitly to anyone who could potentially want either thing, before they drop. and GL keeping people if you say you want all of the best things for free just for creating a guild.
Well I’m not going to tell anyone until they drop I’m the main tank and I’m not bringing rogues
Kind of a weird question … any cosmetic item should always be on open roll…
They should just delete it IMO
Why though it’s a symbol that your guild killed the boss why would you want someone get it who may leave the guild?
Everyone can leave the guild. Especially if they ninja Ashes.
Its not a symbol of anything. Its a lucky drop from a boss. This isnt something like the bug mount from classic where it takes gold or a guild effort in order to get the mount. This is a pure luck play of less than 1% drop rate.
If your guild cant figure out how to handle a random drop i am actually not sure you can kill Keal
Mounts should always be open roll for established guild members.
You’re asking if the community would recommend reserving a flavor item within your guild’s inner clique? No.
As a suggestion, you’re much better off doing a /roll amongst everyone that’s a core raider/raider. They’re all doing their own part in showing up, performing (DPS, tanking, healing) to down Kael, so ought to have a fair shot.
If you were going to reserve something like this, would either make that public to the guild prior to P2 releasing, or have the guild vote on who specifically should get it (i.e. popularity contest) if you really wanted to reserve it to one person. Same with how Bindings, SL Mount(s), and Atiesh were handled.
Dahhhh, sounds like someone lost the roll a couple times.
I can offer you a cup of coffee in its place.
yeah tbh I don’t care about the pixels that much but if it dropped I’d definitely roll on it.
Mostly because there is likely people who DO really care about pixels and would offer me tons of gold to buy it off me
That wasn’t how it worked back then. You need a GM to deal with trading soulbihnd loot.
You forget they made the change with classic that gear trading is a thing in raids as long as it was within 2 hours. Most guilds actually self-loot themselves all the gear and distribute at the end of the run rather than looting after each boss.
No, I’m not forgetting. The story I shared was about back then.
you seem like a great GM, MT, and all around great guy. I foresee big things in the future for you guys
even officers leave guilds mate.
Its a trophy item that should go to the player(s) who bust their behind to get the guild where it is, either from organizing the raids, collecting gear / mats, assisting people get through heroics, and is most importantly AVAILABLE AND ALWAYS THERE.
Giving it to some flaky drama queen who will log on only for raids or has the habit of quitting every couple months should NEVER get trophy items like this. Don’t reward pixel hunters who honestly don’t care about you, or your friends in the guild. This goes for Guild Masters who put themselves before others and collect items they never use.
If people become dramatic about loot like this and threaten to quit because they want their pixels and don’t directly contribute to the guild’s success – KICK THEM ASAP.
Remove these players as it only gets far worse if you let them linger and cause drama.
