Ashes of alar prio

When ashes of alar drops should it be rolled off amongst everyone? Loot counciled ? Thoughts?

Any guild that doesn’t, will fall apart rather quickly I would think.

It would be a weird thing to loot council.

I personally would open it to roll for anyone above trial level.

What about officers only? It would be a shame If someone ran away with such gorgeous mount. Is it wrong to want to keep it in the guild?

Officers quit in a huff as often as anyone else.

One way to get a lot of /gquits is to reserve something like Ashes for the ruling clique.

Unless its a streamer guild.

Whoever the GM’s wife or girlfriend is at the time it drops obviously

No I’m just joking

it should be distributed however the guild agrees to distribute it

anyone REEEE enough to get upset over the decision can go find another guild.

Depends on your guild loot system.

Whatever falls within the confines of that should be the system you stick to.

I got into a PUG back during the WotLK pre-patch. The mount dropped. The raid leader looted it to himself after losing the roll.

The only one that dropped on my server in tbc got taken by the guild leader and then he xferred off the server that night.

That is sadly the danger of pugging.

As for how it should be done. Many have already said it should be up to the pre-established guild rules. And hope the person in charge of distributing the loot follows those rules.

My opinion or how I would do it if I oversaw the loot for that run, is an open roll. Everyone should have an opportunity.

But that is my take anyway.

Oh, I didn’t care. It was a cool mount at the time. But in the end, it’s just pixels. Honestly, I wanted the sword more. But it didn’t drop. It took me ages to get Torch of the Damned (which probably happened a week after this TK PUG.)

Ashes of Alar should go to a Druid because of course it should.

Wowzers! Without incriminating anyone, can you add any details to this story?

How is the agreement formed? Many people assume just being in the guild means you agree with whatever the guild leaders/officers decide. But that’s superficial reasoning. Sadly, many people go along with it.

There were only a handful of guilds that had cleared all of tk/ssc and progressed to bt/hyjal on our server pre nerf. I cant remember if he got it after sunwell came out but a paladin was gm/rl of one of those guilds on stormscale and from what i remember he looted the mount to himself and was gone by the next day.

Pretty sure there was some juicy drama about it in the forums since our forums were always full of drama but i dont think we can look that stuff up anymore.

The GM always gets it, followed by Officers in the gms order, then other members by loot council.

Roll it for everyone but the druids and the GM’s wife and girlfriend. (And make sure you dont tell them about each other)
