Well now I have the trinket and helm. The helm is actually huge to help against bugged hunters. I’d keep grinding for the ring but with the way BGs are and Ashenvale right now no thanks.
Except there is other PvP gear lol.
It’s called exploiting bad design and layer hoping. Not to mention it favors Horde in massive ways. Servers midaswell be completely imbalanced. It’s nearly impossible to win.
I’m sorry if this has been mentioned in other post but, there’s a lot of issues with Ashenvale and one consists with the reputation reward. I’ve been to a number of Ashenvale events (Horde) and participated in the fight against the final boss and never received reputation or reward. I’m not sure if this is a bug or what but, I find it interesting that it’s an open world event that only awards the first raid group that attacks the boss. I run to get to the fight, which only takes a couple minutes to finish, and get zero reward for the time spent traveling and running to the boss. It’s a horrible design that needs to be fixed.
The event is literally designed to discourage pvp. It’s not a pvp event it’s a race. We had a good push back and forth pvp on the road at like 85% but as it got closer to the 99% both sides disengaged and sprinted in opposite directions, everyone clustered around the spawn point and it’s over in 2 mins? I don’t even know what the boss looked like it was swarmed so fast. Tagged it but didn’t get any rep, sprint to the next one and it’s over. Why even both adding multiple locations when there’s only need to do the 2 closest and then go about your day. Completely underwhelming. I really hope they look at this event and the pvp and honor/rep rewards soon before the bulk of players are 25
Wintergrasp (original one) was great. You had massive fights against actual players. Pvp that encourages players to avoid one another is bad design.
Also…you simultaneous say
And
You realize that’s precisely what world pvp in Vanilla was, right? Southshore vs. Tarren Mill was two giant masses slamming into each other. Then battlegrounds went in and world pvp was just a gankfest.
They also need to find some way to faction balance. On Living Flame it’s probably more than double the alliance than horde there. More like 3 times. Horde has zero chance to even win one. So the strategy is just to find an empty layer and hop there.
There is a fix and it’s easy. Just give rewards to people participating in PVP zonewide, to give a reason for defense, and then give the endboss a buff for each boss up. Make the buff to the players near the endboss scale with how many leaders and that’s the event fixed.
