As a father of 3 with 2 jobs, I rarely have time to play games anymore. I maybe only spend about 4 hours a week MAX playing Shadowlands and I have to say that I absolutely love the pacing of the game.
I remember back in the yesteryears, it would take me roughly 6 months of doing Molten Core to get my Eye to make Benediction and even after not getting loot for that long, I felt a sense of accomplishment and pride when the raid leader finally master looted it to me. Matter in fact I felt so much pride and accomplished, that same night I had my first son but that’s a story for another day
Back to my point though, I love the pacing of the game and matter in fact I would go as far to say that they should reduce the amount of loot we get even more, maybe revert it back to Classic WoW style loot tables.
But again this just my 2 cents as a fellow member of the WoW community, I hope this finds you all well.
I’m only 160 iLevel but i’m invited to raids and Mythic+ all the time because of my guild, matter in fact I tell them to only invite 190+ iLevel players as pugs because otherwise it’ll only slow the run down inviting more low iLevel players like myself.
I completely get where you’re coming from Tupac. We have a little one too so it’s nice that there are catchup mechanics and gates on some of the content so we aren’t falling too far behind the rest of our guildies.
I am in a guild group, it’s just at we prefer to pug high ilevels to make the run easier is all. I don’t think this is too much to ask when we fill up pretty quick, although I do feel bad sometimes that there’s about 10 - 15 iLevel 180s in the waiting list but they should’ve found a good guild like me.
Why is it trolling when someone has a genuine opinion? I could just say you’re trolling too! Haha, I kid around but i’m just saying that I prefer loot to come slower because I find it more rewarding. I don’t understand how this is a troll opinion?
My guild has already cleared Naxx, we’re simply waiting on TBC and until then we need something to scratch that old school WoW feeling of loot and I love that Shadowlands is that game now!
I feel like you’re trolling me my good friend, if you look at how gear works in Shadowlands you’ll know that you HAVE to join groups for rated and raids and Mythics, so why is me suggesting to people to find a good guild a troll response? If anything, it’s a nugget of wisdom.
you are saying you want even less gear to drop, but also that you dont let people with lower than 190 in your group and they should just get lucky and find a raid group that will carry them? Either you are a bad person, or a bad troll, either way people shouldn’t waste their time here.
If you only play 4 hours a week you are being carried in your raid group, and are in no position to tell other people what ilvl they need to be to get in.
No you’re missing my point, i’m not talking about carrying anyone i’m just saying that loot feels more rewarding when it’s not showered down on you rather it’s earned through a long grind.
