Hi all,
The following article was populating in the support tool when you’d search for “too many talents” Article Number is 370437. I would post a link, but it’s not letting me.
I had submitted a bug report referencing this article because of an issue I am still experiencing in game. I have multiple forum posts I can point you to regarding this issue. I’ve even created a youtube video recounting my experience with blizzard support and a demo of the problem itself.
As of 5/30/2025 at 8:27PM ET, I am still experiencing this issue and it is preventing me from changing my talents on my DK, effectively making it unplayable.
Can you advise why that article was taken down? Or can you provide any insight into the issue I’m experiencing?

It seems the support article was removed today. My hope was that it was because the issue was resolved, but some posts have alluded to that not being the case.
For clarity, the OP isn’t looking for anyone here to fix the issue or tell them where to go— it’s just a question on what’s going on with the support article and whether it was taken down due to the issue being resolved or if it needs updated or what.

What level was the death knight?
The OP isn’t looking for help with the issue. All of those details are in other threads, including threads from others in Bug Reports and Tech Support. I listed those above.
The question is about what happened to the support article for this problem.

Death Knight is Level 80.
A bit of extra background, this individual streamed their plight, and it exists. They have 20 Hero points they cannot possibly spend, and no amount of respeccing, resetting or anything makes them go away.
The problem is that due to ‘unspent’ points he can’t register any actual changes to his talents. This has been going on for months without any recourse, and playing the game without talents is, well, ill advised!
I’m hoping you get pointed in the right direction, OP, and that you have your issue resolved!

I am not certain why the article was removed. They often cycle through all of the Support Articles we have and constantly update and/or retire them. This issue appears to have been resolved with a hotfix in patch 11.0.7, but it resurfaced so the issue was reopened again. It’s possible whoever retired the article saw the original issue was resolved but missed the reopen.

So should that article be re-instated? Based on your response, I should assume this is an open bug? Is there any place to track it’s progress/status?

No, there isn’t a place/page to track how a bug/issue is doing.

There probably is one for the Blizzard engineering team.
