Argument against TBC ? ANYONE

People have been saying that crap since the Wall of No, and yet here we are…with Classic servers filled to the brim. It wasn’t a valid argument THEN and it certainly isn’t one NOW

It wouldn’t be a 50:50 split. Most people would go to the new TBC servers, not because TBC is necessarily better, but because they’ll have been playing Classic for a couple of years and want something different.

And there will be nothing wrong with that. The active population on Classic servers will take a nosedive, but at that stage almost everyone will be done with Classic and only the diehards will be staying on. So I think that works just fine.

Just let people play the game they want to play. And have fun. And let projects succeed or fail organically, rather than being too worried about whether Classic servers would survive the introduction of TBC servers. I mean, no game was meant to be forever. I think, in fact, that’s one of the major FLAWS of the way Blizz implemented xpacs - that they saw them as a way to extend the lifespan of ONE game, rather than as SEPARATE GAMES.

… And people want their Classic characters forced into TBC? Nope. I don’t really care if TBC Classic releases and some/many people move or duplicate their characters onto those realms.

No, you and some others don’t want that.

Many of us are perfectly fine w/ “splitting the community”, allowing those who enjoy Classic to remain playing Classic, while others who enjoy the TBC era to play there.

The only people who don’t want to split the community seem to be those who want to force others to play w/ them, even if they would rather be playing TBC, and the only reason that I can think of for this is that they are afraid that there aren’t actually enough like-minded individuals who will stay for them to play the game w/.

…which is actually a pretty good argument for having TBC servers.

LOL reading that comment reminds me of watching American Idol

I actually heard his voice in my head as I read it :joy::joy::joy:

I am sure people will come up with arguments against it. I would be happy if say 2.5-3 years from now they rolled out BC servers like Classic and allowed us to use our toons. But if not and Classic is the last stop then i am still fine with it. No skin off my back as I know ill still be playing a great game for years. Nothing lasts forever so I am just here to have a blast while I can.

Well, I’m sure Blizzard will release some form of TBC Classic eventually.

I don’t know why anyone would feel that way. It’s obvious from these forums and others that a vast majority would rather not move to TBC. Let them have their TBC server. Doesn’t hurt me any. There’s enough people with limited time to progress through Classic, and enough die yards who want every class worth of alts in T3, that Classic would still be able to maintain several populated servers.

About the only way Classic+ could ever happen is if they did a MASSIVE retcon like they did on FF14 ARR. Wipe the whole world and everything in it and start ALL OVER…as to the story and how something like that would occur, that is up to the creative minds at Blizzard to figure out

I actually have some great ideas for a wow2, but I think Blizzard is avoiding that…

Have you seen any invalid ones against it?

Oh yeah I agree completely…anyone who wants to deny the release of the expansions and play GateKeeper is a major hypocrite.

“I got the game I want but nobody else should get theirs cause mine is the BEST”

That’s the gist of what people who make comments like that sound like to me

Just because you personally dismiss “valid” arguments, does not mean they are invalid.

Only issue I had with this was why was why the horde variant of paladin(ret) stronger than the alliance? Only difference between shamans was the name of lust.

You may have misunderstood. This thread was asking for reasons that people dislike TBC, not reasons why they like it.

It’s not as if TBC was 100% negative, or an objectively bad product. There are of course good things about it, but that’s not what OP was asking for.

But this would just go against the lore they’ve made since classic… People might not like some part of the story but a lot of people have because engaged in that story. It would s*ck for those people to talk about lore with someone else only to be told ‘’ nah i dont like your story, i prefer to ignore it and talk about OUR version of the story… Imagine a RP player talking about he’s draenei being told ‘’ draenei in the alliance?? Wtf do space goat in WoW???’’.

Like it or not the story of Warcraft have been bound to WoW for a while. No need for a big retcon even if Bfa story is a mess.

Not that I’m a Classic+ advocate…I abhor the idea entirely.

But playing devil’s advocate here…The concept of Classic+ is to diverge away from how the events unfolded that led us into TBC. So how would you propose to do that outside of a retcon?
