By not doing it at all. That why i am saying that classic plus shouldn’t happen. The concept of classic is to allow people to play a certain version of the game without change, not allowing people to play a new story.
If people want a story with development, this is what retail is for. Liking or not the story isn’t a argument since no one will ever like 100% of whatever story anyway, everyone want something different.
Here’s one, I won’t play it. I don’t need it, all I ever wanted was classic back. Even classic to me has a shelf life, been there done that.
Blizzard will do an analyst and conclude risk vs reward. They will collect all sorts of data from Classic/retail and other sources to determine IT’S A WASTED EFFORT. It won’t bring people back to play like Classic did. Wrath the most overrated XPAC on the other hand might bring back a few. And even then that’s several years out let’s say another 5-10.
Classic is nothing more than a marketing/PR move as people asked for it for years. The more version of the game you have the more divided the community will become. Tons of game modes does not mean quality.
Imagine Classic + only comes out after “The Shadowlands” 9.0 and Classic + is actually 10.0 after we went to the Dragon Isles and messed with the Timeline… and now we are back at an Alternative or Classic 60 levels with WotLK talents and MoP Talent Prestiges, and maybe have W.E replaces Azerite as well.
Man having timeline Dragons really opens up a lot of possibilities. . .
Im happy with classic; Classic > Retail, they need to just Revamp Retail and make it what Classic+ should be. Which will take longer than 9.0
Its not hypocritical. Classix did split the player base but stretching the player base over multiple versions of the game is a bad idea. Not enough people to split the player base 3 ways. People also want wrath so does that mean now split it 4 ways. I dont understand how thats a good idea
No keep your classic out of retail. If you want to play classic stay on classic, dont poison retail with classic gameplay.

I’m arguing against it because I know they’ll just take the easiest most accessible version. If they take the earliest version, then I’m fine - but mainly because Classic is just … dumb. 1.12. lol.
My point is putting out the raids and other content without upping the levels… meaning you wont have to go to TBC if you dont want to…
Related, but I think TBC is more likely than Classic+. I suspect that TBC is “easier” to release, in the sense that there’s less chance of utter failure. After all, we already know what’s in it.
Put another way, I think Classic+ is a gutsier move, with more risk, but perhaps with more upside, too.
I don’t have an argument against it. I’m just not interested in playing it. I don’t like the theme of any of it outside of the Blood Elf starting area stuff. After BC, WoD, and then Legion, I’m really over the space demon thing. Like really, really over it.
The thought of places like Hellfire peninsula, blades edge, and shatterath just doesn’t appeal to me. I’m more of a wizards and dragons kind of guy I guess. Spaceships and other planets don’t fit into it for me.
So my opposition isn’t really that it shouldn’t happen if people want it. Go ahead and release it. Blizzard already hinted fairly heavily at their future plans, so you’re probably in luck.
Adding content and polish to classic is just a more interesting concept to me.
You couldn’t do TBC without flying the whole expansion was based with flying in mind the only people whining about flying do so because they can’t easily gank lowbies at will

No thanks OP. I don’t want TBC on the Classic servers. I want Classic to remain Classic and if Blizzard wants to experiment, with Classic + or add TBC and/or WotLK, then I hope they’d make new servers for them.
The problem with releasing TBC on the Classic servers is that it becomes a slippery slope: where will it stop? Will it stop at TBC? At WotLK? Or would it eventually end up at the BFA expac thus defeating the whole purpose of Classic?
If Blizzard decided to release TBC and eventually WotLK, I hope they’d release them on new servers just for that very reason alone, otherwise the whole thing is pointless.

flying, pvp balanced around 3v3 only for the next decade, smaller raid sizes, welfare gear.
Play on netherwing if you really want that junk right now, it would be better to kep classic classic, and then move onto classic+ if they wont give every xpac a meusem server.
