That would be the Classic+ people⌠News flash, they arenât some non-profit organization giving to charity. They would have to make some major money off of it for them to even entertain the idea. Meaning there has to be a huge market for it. Hence the reason they didnât move forward with vanilla servers until they discovered how many people liked/played it.
the expansions were proven to be massively popular as evidenced by the sub counts. What makes you think that the number of people who want Classic+ are even remotely high enough to compare???
As I said you must be new. You need to do a bit of investigating on the history of Classic, how it got here at all, and the mandate for its production. There are links all over this forum. I made a post with 2 of the most important here (because so few people blasting their opinions and demands all over the Classic forums have any idea about what Classic is and how it got here):

- Do you honestly think classic came about because of random forum goers and not a dedicated and enthusiastic group within blizzard pitched the idea in terms that the shot callers could understand?
- I have yet to see a classic+ thread making demands. Have they made suggestions? yes. Your inability to see the difference is telling.
- The expansions lead us down the road to retail, the thing YOU hate. Why do you want to go down that road again? Is this what your group wants? it makes NO SENSE.

It was more about protecting their IP, they didnât think it was going to be popular and even said as much when asked, they said not verbatim that they didnât care if many people played it they were doing it for history(and IP reasons) also to get rid of PS.

No I did not. The only two expansions I want to see are TBC and Wrath. Cataclysm was when the game turned to garbage. The first 2 expansions were the golden era of WoW IMO, and have the potential to be just as profitable as Classic with very little effort on Blizzardâs part
I am sorry. I am just not into watching your videos right now. You can tell me your opinion or any facts from the videos you want. Just like I told shock, I respect people who stand on their own opinions, not on the opinions of others.
If youâre going to have an opinion it needs to be informed, not just pulled out of the air. Those videos contain the reason why Classic is here, the history of how it got pushed onto the table at Blizzard by the community, and the mandate for its production. Iâm not going to summarize it for you, itâs really minimum level effort to inform yourself before jumping into the discussion.

I meanâŚweâre talking about something thatâs probably a good two years off. So by then weâll already be done with Naxxramas and just be doing whatever, so I think itâs pretty safe to say many servers are going to have a pretty big drop off, though there certainly will be strong communities still, especially on the more populated servers.
That would be what you call selfishness. That said, I think we already know which one is more likely to happen. However, Iâm certainly not going to go around berating those that want Classic+, as Iâm not entirely against the idea. If they choose not to do the same for those fighting for TBC, then I have no qualms calling them hypocrites as I already have multiple times.
Would rather just have wow2 thats actually good (which will never happen)
