The reason Tram killed UO, is because about 70% of the playerbase didnt like one of 3 guilds just keeping them naked and dead, they gave players an alternative ruleset, and thee majority took it, even on UO pservers its never the same because it turns out all those people we used to ensure couldnt play the game left for tram and you will never play a uo server with enough targets, since the majority who play that want to be the ganker, and you just dont see a mountain of people playing the game so they can mine for 30 mintues and have it stolen everytime.
Playing uo would be crappy if you werent in one of the biggest guilds, and once people had the chance to not do that, they took it.
Iâm familiar with it. All wolves and no sheep and the world cannibalizes itself.
But players joining a hardcore PvP server should be prepared for a pure PvP experience. They donât need player looting if thatâs too scary here, but pure PvP focused content. Not balances, just content.
Really sorry to spam, but I just canât let this one go.
I played Horde on the low-mid pop PvP server Scilla for the most of TBC. There was one Dranei Shaman, Elemental, that literally the entire Horde feared. Iâm talking about tuck their chains and hide out back Debo kind of of feared. This guy was so freaking tough, for so long, that people went as far as trying to âdoxxâ him before that term or sad method of whatever even existed. I hated him so bad, but secretly cheered him on in the back of my mind. Tough guys would meet him out front of Org just to get âKurb stompedâ. If Shaman was useless in PvP how did this guy literally punk out an entire faction?
The comment about BC making it the world of 1 zone though. Super valid issue, touchè.
Ok⌠personal attack⌠I get it, its the internet⌠no reason to be civil and perhaps enlighten the rest of us on this mountain of options we have as opposed to doing TBC?
Go ahead we are all waiting with baited breath! Or would you rather just call names again?
Just fine? Really? Itâs just fine that thereâs only one viable tanking class?
That druids, paladins, priests and shamans are basically relegated to healing in PvE? Itâs just âfineâ that with the exception of shadow/ele none of them even offer a viable alternative dps spec in any part of the game?
People arenât using the full talents because they are garbage and have no choice, not because they âdonât want to min/maxâ.
Look at the classic versions of Lightwell, Moonkin Form, LotP, Repentance for a great example of this.
If you donât have the time to wait that 10-20 minutes for everyone to get thereâŚthen you CERTAINLY donât have the time to run the dungeon in question in the first place.
Sorry but thatâs a weak argument. If you donât have the 4-6 hours to invest per day to play the game to begin with, then maybe Classic isnât for you.
I donât say this very often, but I think in this case itâs warrantedâŚYou might want to go back to playing retail so you can spam the streamlined dungeons faster if your time is SO precious to you
Its always telling about the character of a person when they rather other people not have things, rather than argue benefits for themselves.
âI donât want people to play elvesâ
âI donât want people to flyâ
âI donât want people to play on other serversâ
âI donât want people to do arenaâ
âI donât want people to play more classesâ
ect ect.
If youâre one of these people, your opinion is dirt. Your personality is dirt. You are a POS. You have such a miserable life that you want others to be stuck in whatever fantasy of a world of mendacity you have created in your mind.
And no, this isnât simple opinion. This is malevolence. To wish to deny a person of happiness that causes absolutely no detriment to anyone else is shear malice. And normally I would attribute this to people being edgy teens. But this isnât the late 90s early 2000s. And these are not teenagers. These people are in their 30s and 40s being this miserable.
I truly wish I could say how I really feel about these people, but that would violate about a dozen forum guidelines, but I think you all get the point.
