Argument against TBC ? ANYONE

There is no argument for not doing TBC… as long as you do different servers and do not touch Classic there is not a single reason to not do it.

If you are a #nochages person, then you stay in Classic and the people that want TBC go there… win/win.

You have puffed up drama queens trying to pretend it will pull off a lot of the people on the classic servers and in the next breath screaming they want layering gone so 10k people are all standing in one layer waiting for a quest mob to spawn…

It is quite hilarious!

Blood elf Paladins wins the thread.

Hell no to TBC with so many other options on the table

Classic plus baby. Move forsaken to a third faction and make the game pvp centered… So many possibilities

Can we just enjoy classic for a minute?

I advise you play a bc private server and check back in

Why do the two have to be separate?

Why can’t you enjoy Classic while Blizzard opens TBC servers?

… what?

if you aren’t good at PvP, you aren’t going far in arena. doesn’t matter if you PvP 12 hour a day

but if you are slighty above average in classic and have 18 hours a day… you’ll get rank 14.

I agree. Why can’t we? Lol

What options are available?
Sitting in classic for 5 years till the servers are ghost towns?
That doesn’t seem like a viable option for most people…

I’m lost as to why people feel that BC was the ender of world PvP. On PvP servers we used to raid Stormwind until our gear was broke, then throw naked bodies on rez timers at them. Literally “til the end”.

When TBC came out, world PvP accelerated, at least on our realms. The capture towers in Hellfire, Zangarmarsh etc. brought phenominal world PvP at early levels. Then insane days long World PvP at the Elemental Plateau and Halaa. Also Skettis and that weekly place in Blades Edge.

Frequently people would land off a flying mount and wage into fantastic 3-5v mini battles, that almost always turned into /1 “going down at (insert quest spot)” super battles. It was a damn free for all nearly the entire expansion.

And, yes I’m reaching far here, but every once in a blue moon You would get the resilience maxed out 2 hander warrior tanking things like the Heroic Botanical when a tank just couldn’t be found.
Anyone who says Heroic 5mans at progression level were faceroll, must have been an afk aoe farmer, or ran so many addons the game played itself for them.

TBC was rich. Sorry OP this is opposite of what You asked for, but I could go on for days. The raiding was best in class still today.

Hang on, you don’t want a TBC dedicated server because of population splits but you don’t understand how TBC negatively affects Classic? Wouldn’t Classic stop existing altogether if Classic realms progressed to TBC?

100% agree with this. Flying mounts isn’t what broke world PvP. That was Raid/Dungeon finder and the Cataclysm update which removed the old azeroth. Outland had intense amounts of world PvP, so did Northrend(until Raid Finder).

You could only ever use the flying mounts on those new continents and you could always raid the old cities in Azeroth.

yeah rets and mages are really good in pve. enjoy arcane int - > drop group gameplay.

Shaman and paladins are useless in PvP. Hunters are borderline useless. Druids are warriors are gods. Lock is a disgusting mess of a class…etc

Can this meme that TBC has good balance stop?

This totally. When they enabled flying “world wide” it was part of the noticable decline!
Don’t forget the effort it took to actually be able to fly in BC. Not the effort of Auctioneer addons scanning prices then penny undercutting everything listed then sitting around wondering why they’re bored… /sigh

Holy Paladins were PvP gods when they got good plate, in BC.

Or the 2 warrior + Ret arena team, all using the stun effects.

Or the pull before Gruul without mages. No sheep in dungeons, or Tempest Keep? I think the support was something of a not Your choice of play style problem.

I never said balanced, I said VIABLE. Wow PvP especially will never be be balanced, but at least imo, its the closest you can get, and in classic, many specs literally have no use, or such garbage 31 point talents that you only spec 2/3 into a tree.

This is just straight up bs.

mages are really good in pve. enjoy arcane int - > drop group gameplay

Nah that wasn’t a thing. Mages got plenty of raid spots

in sunwell every single top 50/100/etc guild stacked warlocks and did not bring mages – if they were lucky they brought one mage only for AI buff.

Mages are strong in heroics and eariler raids but don’t scale as well as locks well as locks.

Youre better than all the melee in t4 and t5 but I’m sunwell there is little reason to bring a mage .

Most of all I just want to say, who the hell isn’t sick of only having one damn viable tank class? I’m just about ready for this for to happen for druid/pally tanks alone.

So don’t you think that’s a bit of an exaggeration? You’re talking about guilds on the cutting edge and only the final raid of the expansion. I played with mages in my raids all through BC and there was never an issue.

Lolll top end guilds stacking 2-3 classes to cheese encounters. Hate the player. Not the game Babe.
I clearly remember dps’ing as Ret belf. It just took some work seal and judgement swapping. Bring along a Spriest for embrace returns and get ready to spam bubble and salvation.

My main concern is having a much smaller world that is relevant. Releasing BC basically makes Azeroth irrelevant. Especially wth flying mounts in BC zones. The world of warcraft would become more like the zone of warcraft

PvP Classes is just fine in Vanilla. Not every class should be on equal footing with each other.

Talents are fine, too. Not everyone wants to min/max. So what if people use 2/3 of a tree, or all of them? Or just 1? The point of choices. Someone who’s better than you will still beat you with a less than optimal build.
