Arfus is massively disrespectful towards your players and their time

Don’t worry everyone, I’m 100% sure Arfus will be added to the trading post in the next couple months.

I will ask a third time, why should luck have anything to do with a limited time supposedly fun holiday event with cosmetic items that has no player progression tied to it? why are you steadfastly advocating that this degenerate gameplay loop is okay? It doesn’t breed player engagement. It actually does the opposite and drives players away from doing the event. Why would someone who spent almost 300 attempts doing this event and got nothing from it want to come back next year and repeat the same disappointing process? People enjoy the dopamine hit you get from rewards. If there is little to no chance at getting a reward they stop doing it. It would have been so much better on Blizzards part to have made this a quest reward of available on the vendor. People in Classic WotLK got it as a reward from completing an achievement, yet in retail it was a drop chance?

Why wouldn’t it? Where is it written that just because an event is up for two weeks that everybody needs to be able to 100% it? That has simply never been the case.

The heartbreaker mount has an extremely low drop rate that would benefit from an adjustment but the rest of the rewards have been in line with what we’d expect.

And why is that okay?

Because it’s an optional cosmetic? Nobody needs it.

So you believe the pet should have been added to the vendor instead of or as well as the transmog?
I suspect they added the pet as a drop to give those players who already have the mount a reason to participate to help queue times be quicker. I got the love rocket this year, after what, 15yrs of trying? Guess what? Not doing that dungeon again, unless they add a reason.

And that’s an insane rationale to have. “Oh, it’s just cosmetic, it we simply cannot allow everyone to have it!” Why? Who does it hurt? It’s not like it’s a legendary piece of gear. It’s an undead dog pet. Look at all the other countless cosmetic things Blizzard has just simply given away. But oh, heaven forbid a battle pet only available for 2 weeks once a year, simply cannot fathom another method of allowing people who want it to obtain it.

Again, better luck next time, and remember to enable the affixes.

I stress to the population one more time: The rat has fallen in love with the maze

He’s like “I got it after 15 years” jesus dude I can’t help but feel bad for you and anyone else who would do something like that.

I mean I have invincible, Al’ar and the brewfest ram and feel AWFUL for people still farming them.

No other game studio does this LOL and we bleed players because of it

Arfus just came out.

None of these are even particularly uncommon, though. The only problem mount was the rocket.

That pet drove my partner crazy. They’re a collector and ended up throwing multiple alts at the horseman every day. Did around 150 runs and no pet (or saddle). One very depressed person.

Which… doesn’t seem to achieve what Blizzard wanted - while being lucky on the first run might exist, it didn’t feel like it. All they got was masks and brooms. So kept running and kept getting disappointed. For. A. Holiday. Bit. Of. Fun. Which… yeah. Not really fun.

No mount, no pet aside from a few sinister squashlings. I ran it on one character and skipped a few days. I got 3 dragon armor tokens.

I don’t even have Dragonflight.

The affixes that were only necessary for your first kill on your account each day did not have a noticeable effect regardless. Those affixes? Yeah. So much luck there. Wow. It should have been on the vendor. End of story. But you keep defending a degenerate indefensible position.

The only thing degenerate is killing it hundreds of times.

Didn’t you just say “best of luck”? You know how you increase your luck? By doing it more, just like you buy more lottery tickets to increase you chance to win. You claim this RNG luck method of acquisition is okay, but then say people who kill it hundreds of times are degenerate. Your entire statement proves you are simply a troll and are doing nothing but arguing in bad faith. Good day to you.

I just find it odd that most people I’ve known to have gotten it were only doing 1-2 chars a day with affixes then there’s people killing it 500 times and not getting it.

Maybe running it on a fleet of alts doesn’t really help.

But hey, we all have our own way of doing stuffos.

Less than 2% of players have Arfus, 5% have Kicking with the wick which is killing it with all curses, and 9% have A Cleansing fire, which is doing new Horseman at all. Either you know a ton of lucky people, or you are lying. Considering the way you are trolling this thread, I’m gonna guess the second.

Hiya. Saying that not everything has to be a 100% drop rate isn’t nesscearily trolling. Take care.

Chill, Math.
Why would you feel bad for me or awful for anyone else? We all play this game in our own way at our own pace. How many “attempts” do you think I made to get the love rocket? Does it even matter? No, of course not. It’s just a time limited part of the game.
And your comparison of having low drop mounts is just that. A comparison. Doesn’t affect me or anyone else. It might affect you in that you’re not likely to do that content again. But did you farm those afterwards or gain them in current content? If you farmed them, why did you feel the need to do so?
