Stats are inflated in TBC. Not an equal comparison
You need something that I cannot say on the forums and trust me, itâs no vacation.
Things that take a very long time to save up for an earn? Like a car? A house? Anything of seriously high value? Not only are the weapons a tedious and long process to obtain, you will have spent a fraction of the effort obtaining items much better than these on almost every class in PvEâŚand the weapons in question are much better in PvP than the PvP weapons.
The problem is that people of all ratings will have zero use for these weapons because they will get better weapons before they earn these weapons.
It is a completely garbage change. So many people were looking forward to TBC and doing casual arenas and battlegrounds since they donât have time for hours and hours of arena and consistent partners.
I have quite a few friends like that who are all planning on starting grad school and wanted to casually arena and BG.
This literally destroys that. Itâs a trash change, that has no business in any iteration of wow (since it never was) and especially not in tbc.
Nothing is out of my range.
I just donât pay much attention to all of betaâŚ
I mean youâre preaching about losing dps because your number might be 51 dps lowerâŚall enhance will be the same, so your Parses will still be in line with other enhances.
According to your armory 2050 is.
I must have missed the part of the change where youâre not allowed to enter arenaâs unless youâre able to play for "hours and hours.â
Of course it is. Itâs going from the BiS T2 weapon to the BiS T3 weapon as a mainhand. This was going from the BiS T4 offhand to the second best T4 offhand. Itâs not mainhand, and itâs the same tier.
I donât take retail pvp seriously
Retail Arena is the reason classes homogenization happened, to attempt to appeal to the E-sport demographic and attempted to allow every class to do every type of toolkit. This ruined all sense of class identity and WoW Arena was laughed out of E-sports for being far to RNG and clunky.
The rating requirements are absolutely ridiculous. Common Blizzard this is TBC not retail the game isnât even balanced properly there are classes that canât even dream to get 2050.
Iâm not just talking about the DPS being lower, thatâs only a small part of the issue. The other issue is losing options and, more importantly, gutting arena participation due to a terrible system.
I donât parse.
No⌠because theyâre entirely different expansions.
50 dps in classic is fairly significant
50 dps in BFA is basically nothing
Get it?
This is a min max mmo, you never had options.
You have the perception of options, but they donât exist.
I just ran the sim and the % difference in damage between CTS and gressil is almost exactly 2%. Go tell Tetsu that gressil doesnât matter and he should be happy with a BWL weapon.
No. Thatâs not accurate at all. Going from one expansion to the next doesnât make DPS differences irrelevant. Especially since Warriors were doing pretty similar DPS to what T4 BiS Enh will likely do.
In order to farm up that eating, yeah you have to.
I honestly canât believe people are defending this change. Thereâs literally nothing positive about it
He doesnât want it for the dps, he wants it for the fact that itâs his bis weapon.
It looks good.
Itâs a trophy to him.
You really think he noticed his 16 more dps? Lmfao
The primary problem in question is that Season 1 gear was meant to be gained slowly, but gained faster if you had higher rating. The reward for a higher rating was getting the gear earlier. This gear is ENTRY LEVEL gear for PvP.
Season 3 gear had ratings because the power level of Season 3 gear was much higher than Season 1 and 2 gear even in the season it was introduced in.
Right now Arena points are almost completely pointless outside of picking up gloves for most classes. And now it canât even be used as something to counterbalance luck if you didnât pick up your welfare checks in Karazhan.
What do you even mean? We had options. Losing BS and Kara offhands and now Gladiator (unless you want to PvP that badly) is losing 5 different offhand options.
Except when the DPS is actually very close, we did have options. The DPS was roughly equivalent for axes/maces for non-Orcs during early testing for BS weapons, for example.
