sounds to me like OP just wants to fight on a horse.
they could code it so that it works in non flying zones, but it provides no bonuses. basically just a transmog option. or if that’s to weak for a talent, give it like a 20% movespeed bonus in no flying zones.
everybody happy
He can fight on a horse in open world content.
I’m not going to bother responding to your low level trolling attempts anymore, but I’m going to back up the cement truck and unload on the corpse of your statements. I apologize, because it’s obvious that English isn’t your first language.
Outdoors does not mean “not in an instance”. There are no examples of it being used this way, despite being used very much in-game.
Maybe, just maybe, the tooltip could have used the term “Dragonriding Area” instead of outdoors since that’s exactly what it is.
Outdoors does mean not in an instance in this context.
it’s really not that serious. just bind your Acherus mount separate from your flying mount and only use the Acherus mount when you know you’re going to be in an area for an extended period of time…
What a dumb argument.
It’s a failure on them for making half a spec.
What do you mean making half a spec? Do you really think that a single choice node is half the entire hero spec?
This was absolutely a huge fail. Until this talent, is never even considered that open world content meant only flying enabled zones. It is certain that they never intended it to work in bgs, which I think is also a separate mistake. If they cut it to druids travel form speed, it wouldn’t have been an issue. After all, it doesn’t stop it from being allowed, all it does is make it so you don’t have to channel a mount between running through nodes. And a druid would still be able to shift forms to wipe the snares and roots where a dk couldn’t. It COULD have been balanced but they just opted not to make life easier on themselves. The result is a no talent in the open world it was intended for and an actual dead talent if you forget to respec when you enter a bg.
I mean of course they weren’t going to let you have perma mounted combat in instances, that’s insane. Feral Moose and hell even Burst of Speed was frustratingly OP.
But I will say, it shouldn’t be a toggle option. Its pretty annoying to have to change talents between instances and world content.
The best solution would be for the talent to also have some benefits for non-outdoor areas. Such as:
While outdoors you are able to mount your Acherus Deathcharger in combat (wherever Druids can fly). For non-outdoor areas, you remain mounted at a reduced mounted speed of 110%.
It really should just be 1 talent that changes function depending on what kind of content you are doing.
For those saying it should be useable in dungeons/BGs/Arenas etc, that would be insanely OP.
It’s useful in open world PvE content, being mounted gives you a permanent speed buff while gathering big pulls together and if you end up getting yourself into trouble it’s easy to run away. It is useless in any content that matters though since it’s completely blocked.
I’m honestly suprised this is still going several days later… Denying that it would be OP, or pretending to Deny it is just sad.
Complaints about stuff like this only fuels flames and honestly only discourages the devs engagement with the DK community…
I remember ghost wolf on shamans was annoying in its previous iterations because of the “outdoor” tag. I’m assuming you could still use it in BG’s though I can’t remember, but I was pretty sure you couldn’t use it in dungeons. Still it’s definitely not consistent here because “outdoors” apparently means open world content, but it excludes bgs.
What is “The Death Knights haven’t had anything new or cool for 3-4 expansions, and they’ve found a way to make it dismal”
“I’ll take Death knights ignored for 500 Alex”
Airidyn. Kelliste is that edge lord that has convinced themselves they know everything there is to know about WoW. Your opinions are wrong, your ideas are wrong. This maggot even tells you “What you like” is wrong. Can’t make this stuff up.
It’s they own stock in Blizzard/Activision or have no ability to think outside the box. Either way… it is fun to watch.
My advice is don’t feed the troll. I’ve taken the bait again. Get out while you can.
They’ll find someone else to beat thier imaginary chest on.
What next Kell? Can we call you Kell, is that what the cool kids say? You going to ridicule someone because… I dont know… they don’t like the color red? You going to post 3 paragraphs to them about the uinique history of the color, and how they are wrong for liking a different color.
You’re a Nut.
And it is a very very small box at that.
Death Charge seems soo much more powerful anyway
They just need to add acceleration for it to be balanced in pvp. Have it climb in speed from +0 to +100 over like 3 seconds, if you’re directly attacked(not a dot) it pauses your acceleration, so you’re still moving >100 if you get attacked (unless its a slow). Just the same if you cast an offensive ability have the mount slow to like +50 that way mounted combat you’re still faster than every other class
It is kinda pointless but when you do use it, it’s pretty cool.
