Suffer well!
It isn’t my problem that people couldn’t understand the tooltip. It was obvious to 90% of people.
You also can’t fight in travel form.
That’s already been fixed.
I mean even just reading the tooltips, we knew On a Paler Horse was gonna be a dogwater node. The entire Rider hero spec is just all fluff and no substance, and that thematic appeal has been blinding people to the fact that Rider is just honestly really boring compared to the other two trees. Every ability in the tree is passive.
Rider is for Timmy gamers, if we’re using MTG player types. A keen eye saw this from the very start. All flash, no bang.
Death Charger is pretty cool though
Yeah but it’s annoying how you have to always switch talent when doing instance content. I wish we could have both. Imo Death’s Advance should just become Death Charge by default.
This would be an incredible QoL change. It’s surprising this wasn’t suggested in the first place. 1 talent point that just changes function based on location.
other classes have hyper mobility.
our pvp style has been “hit&run during CD” based for some time now.
and you blame the player base for taking it at face value?
gtfo.
Dodge the actual question to shoe horn your tired point about the tooltip, despite being not able to name a single ability that tooltip is consistent with. Take a bow bud, you don’t have a leg to stand on as far as that point goes.
If you have constructive points on how the ability could be made to work in more areas though, or how it could be balanced, I’d welcome the discussion. There’s definitely a third option somewhere besides it being too OP, and it having no real uses. The vibe your posts give off is that the ability sucks because it’s supposed to, which isn’t a fun long-term balance state.
I never expected this talent to take in any competitive content, despite the confusing words chosen. I could have maybe seen them letting us use it in m+ in dungeons that allow outdoor mount use like druids get to use travel form, but I guess we missed out there.
I definitely think combining these two transfus world have been a better idea since the mounted combat is kinda a gimmick that can’t be used in any meaningful content. Just give it to us for free to play with in the open world but still get to use the real talent when we are in competitive content without having to constantly swap talents.
I didn’t dodge anything. You have been the one harping on about the tooltip. Is there any other class that can mount in combat and fight? No. So there isn’t going to be any other tooltip consistent with this one.
Most of the people understood it, I even pointed this out when the hero spec was put out there in written form.
They shouldn’t make this ability work in more areas because you couldn’t understand the tooltip. And yes, it’s supposed to be this way. What is the point of being mounted in combat if you are just going to be slow for balance purposes?
Even the people that don’t like me in these forums agree with me here.
Look, I understand that you can’t have mounts in PVP or indoors, that would be broken AF. But couldn’t they just let us have the visual of being on the mount? When in combat, our speed drops back down to normal run speed when indoors. Done. Being on the ground with all 4 horsemen on their horses completely kills the vibe.
If you are going to assert that the tooltip is correct, which you have, and just hand wave the inconsistencies with other tooltips, you are lost. You can provide no support for your assertions. I can provide dozens of abilities that operate consistently across all zones as indoor/outdoor.
And please, stop talking about the imaginary legions that both agree with you and disagree with you. Speak to your own points.
As it stands, your position is that the ability is to powerful for 95% of content, so it should just be effectively greyed out. That’s just bad game design. Try to say something constructive
What other abilities / talents allow you to mount and fight in combat? There is none.
Answer the question that you literally ignored.
You didn’t ask a single question that wasn’t followed by you answering yourself, so I’m not sure where your salt is coming from
But oh look, we have the precursor to this ability right here;
Reins of the Deathcharger
Item Level 40
Binds when picked up
Unique
Duration: 1 hour
Use: Summons and dismisses an Ebon Blade Deathcharger that can be ridden while in combat.
Only usable on the Broken Isles and Argus.
A tooltip for a combat mount. States exactly where it can be used since there are special restrictions.
And you didn’t try to correct the answer. So you have nothing to back your point up. I can also prove that it’s your own fault that you didn’t understand the tooltip.
You changed what I said when I said the people that don’t like me agree with me to something completely different. If you can’t understand something so simple then you aren’t going to understand the tooltip.
Do you expect Blizzard to list every single area that the mount can be used? Or do you expect them to use an umbrella term like outdoors which means the open world and not instanced content?
I can’t follow the incoherent logical death roll of you demanding answers to question that aren’t presented as questions.
Despite my multitude of superpowers, I am unable to “change what you said”.
You have still not answered my question a single time. Outdoors is not an umbrella term for what you are presenting it as. Please present an example if there is one.
So you can’t follow simple stuff? Sounds about right
Another non-answer, cute. Have a LOVELY day!!!
Oh it was an answer. I also already answered your other answer. You are looking for a very specific answer and you are going to continue asking a bad question in order to get that answer and I’m not playing that game.
The fault is on you. Outdoors = open world, indoors = instanced. Really not that hard to figure out.
