Are you in a hurry to leave the Shadowlands?

i really doubt there will be a patch, the last cinematic pretty much set the stage for next expansion, there won’t be a 9.2/9.3 until pre-expansion, i predict it’ll be like the pre-shattering event in cata, but in oribos

That’s not what I’m saying at all…

Yo, what’s up with the dismissive attitude?

Honestly Blizzard is pretty dead to me . I dont possess any hope for the future. but 9.2 will probably be the moment of a “spark”.

As for shadowlands… Tbh the only thing that kept me playing for a while was basically “if i dont do it now I will have to do it later” but now I just CBA anymore. I dont even get my subs worth of money EVEN WITH classic stuff…

Yes I’ve already mentally checked out.

I didn’t want to learn about wows afterlife because it was never gonna I’ve up to what each player had in their mind what the afterlife was like. It should have been one of those things that always remained a mystery. Sometimes less is more and that’s how the afterlife should have been treated.

Or at the vary least give each “faith” their own afterlife. If your good you go to a place of light, or the emerald dream depending if your a light worshipper or naturalist ect. If you bad you go to a void banishment or fell hell. Not a empty airport before your sent to one of 4 areas that don’t really have much to do with your life except for mabye ardenweild. And that should have just been the emerald dream. (And don’t get me started on sylvanas and anduin)

Yes I am ready to leave for the next expansion, my bags are packed and by the door. I just hope the next expansion is a bit back to basics. Give me a continent with like 4 to 6 warring kingdoms, and I unite them or force them to team up to take down a evil king.

I am done with these wannabe Thanos’s and realms of reality, and ready for some good ole fashion kings and kingdoms

This hit the nail on the head.

That has been the issue for me since Saurfang bit the dust.

With other villains, you know their goals and capabilities. That’s usually what you are trying to stop.

I have no clue what the Banshee Queen and the Jailer are trying to do, other than a vague “break the cycle of life and death”.

If I’m not sure what they are trying to accomplish, why am I trying to stop them?

I agree with every word of your post! I wish we had never gone to the afterlife. The mystery of it all was so much more appealing. I could have my own ideas for my characters of what the afterlife was. They also destroyed Elune for me too. Am I ready to move on. Not if it’s more borrowed power or places like Torghast ( which I hate) I agree with you I too am ready for a back to basics expansion.

I want this xpac to finish as quickly as the next guy but I am 100% certain Blizzard hasn’t learnt anything and will make the same mistakes all over again. If they only get one thing right, never ever have all the zones disjointed and instanced from one another. Werst mistake ever. :upside_down_face:

Wow, that’s insane if true.

He said it. Is what he said true? That’s concerning. Is he just saying it and it’s not true? That’s concerning also.

I was honestly hoping we’d be out of the shadowlands before next xpac. As in the last patch takes us back home. It sucks here. Can’t fly in Oribos, can’t fly in Korthia, no flight whistle, flying from zone to zone is stupidly long due to having to go thru Oribos.

Not really, no. I mean SL is okayish, but the next expac can’t be good considering what’s happening now.

I’m personally mostly ambivalent towards it.
On one hand, it’s the Shadowlands.
We’ve been hankering to see this place since Wrath.
On the other hand, the implementation of extremely unfriendly systems and the way lore has been handled of this place makes me want to just leave and return to our own plane of existence, with current content there.
It just feels like there’s something missing here, at the moment.

Tbh im half n half , Shadowlands is one the expac i like a lot but also one where i unsubbed the most…

The recent unwanted changes to achievs , quests and npcs just made me leave early till 9.1.5

Yet i know i’ll be back because i do like the SL dungeons ,raids and overall theme !

That’s pretty much been the design philosophy lately - mobs everywhere, massive aggro ranges on all of them, and any quest target is guarded by at least one and usually two mobs that low-geared players have to tediously whittle down.

This is the expansion, after all, that made the anti-daze-anti-dismount mount equipment literally mandatory - then gave mobs ways to pseudo-daze you and kill you on your horse. IT’s the only MMO that doesn’t allow players to run away from a bad situation, with daze now ramped up to ludicrous levels in an attempt to force you into “all combat, all the time” whether you like it or not.

I am in a hurry to go back to the time you would be not feel you wasted time in the last xpac to do things you barely even need 6 months after.

Until WotLK, besides “levels”, and some gear, a lot of what you made in the whole game you would carry on.

From that point on each time more so, everything is just a momentous sprint of effort to be useless.

It is “no content content added”. IT is just replacing things with same things but with bigger numbers. Sisyphus stones.

I would love to have back the game you could just “do the new campaign” and go back to “doing what you like”. Not that “inconstant paranoid grind of the latest set of dailies”.

Reps, and whatever. Should we keep adding different reps of the same group just so you have something to run ? It all that “equalization” from old to new players good to either of them ?

I can think of one overall reason: New players would have much more help if the old players didnt had to run do grind stuff again and again. Better if they actually even encouraged it. If you did it, help others do it, dont just grind again another version of it by yourself.

I’m hoping not :]

All expansions are the same to me, they all add stuff I hate, stuff I don’t mind, and stuff I like. Dungeons with 90% of the mechanics I’ve seen in other dungeons. Quests that function like 90% of the other quests in game: kill, kill+loot, pickup, escort, go to. Raids with 90% of the mechanics I’ve seen in other raids so it’s meh to me. I avoid the content I don’t like and just do the stuff I like.

9.3
9.4
9.5
9.6
9.7
10.0

all the same to me so how I feel right now is how I’m going to feel in 10.0.

We are 100% getting a 9.2. They literally said class sets will be there and many hints in 9.1 is leading us to a new zone called Zereth Mortis, Zovaal won’t be in the next expansion.

Eh, I don’t mind either way really. I don’t hate SL, but it’s definitely not a favourite of mine. It depends a lot on what they have planned for the next xpac. I can just mindlessly play WoW for ages doing things that a lot of other people don’t enjoy, like pet battling. My enjoyment of an xpac is heavily dependent on its story and characters (which is why I don’t hate SL; story is meh but I actually like many of the characters a lot).

As long as they finish the story in a reasonable way I’m fine with it. I just don’t want anything rushed because a rushed end to Shadowlands means a rush to launch the next expansion.
