IDC if 9.3 was another selfie patch, as long as Blizzard actually makes 10.0 something special.
As it should be, give me another 12+ month content drought I’m not playing anyways. If I can come back at 10.0 because they actually put in work this time for the content, it’d be worth.
Also lore wise, I couldn’t give a 
about Shadowlands anymore. As none of it made a lot of sense in the first place.
In a strange way this might be the smart move.
In a hurry? No. But I’m hoping 10.0 is a nice chill expansion. Something like Mists. Given both in game events and real world events… I think we could all use a break from doom and gloom.
They are not doing all the work of 9.1.5 to ditch out on shadowlands early. 9.2 will likely be the save Anduin patch 9.3 defeat the jailer with a tie in to what’s been going on back on Azeroth. Also we are probably getting a time skip since they have kind of written themselves into a corner story wise in azeroth.
Nothing has been normal with this expansion so why would we want to rush to a new “broken” systems expansion? I would rather get this one fixed before moving on.

in the intro duction of shadowlands when it first started they stated they always 2 steps ahead, (unless they lied) they they had something already in the works when shadowlands released. I dont know if they meant patches or new expanison they already had a 5 year plan in place…and they work on 2 expanison at once>…so yes the short story is over with the shadowlands and now it s time to move on , some things I have seen is we are not going back to azeroth yet… or they might do a time skip… they keep hinting at different things so I dont know which way it was going to go…but I am confident of one thing… servers will stay online as long as there making money we can be down to 5k. they will prob do another server merge soon… but then again it may all be one big illusion. probably nothing new until 2022 2nd quarter or 2023. new expansion.

Just have galakrond escape from the Shadowlands and then do Dragon Isles. EZ PZ.
I think Shadowlands is uinsalvageable …of course however if it looks like the final patch looks like they are putting the game back on track it could bring people back. After all they did that with the last patch of WoD and then Legion was one of the greatest x packs out there.
The only reason I’d want Shadowlands to be cut short is because I want cross faction PvE and I suspect that the only way it will ever be added into the game is with the launch of a new expansion (or its prepatch).
If they aren’t adding cross faction PvE in the next expansion then I don’t really care if they want to continue making content in Shadowlands or put out some new thing
If there is another Xpac what Blizz needs to do is get rid of the carrot on a stick and go back to when they made good Xpacs that players played and had fun. Go back to making raids like they were back in BC and Wrath, but with a better loot reward system. Let crafting be worth something for all crafters. Bring back the gem system that crafters could make money on and get rid of the crappy systems they have now…etc.
Even though I personally have a more positive opinion of Shadowlands than some… this would be unbelievably awesome just from a comedy standpoint.
