Are you in a hurry to leave the Shadowlands?

The fact that Mike Ybarra has said he has full confidence in Ion and will not be interfering with Ion’s freedom to develop the game as he sees fit does not give me any confidence in the future of the game.

To the point that I MAY come back next xpac but I’m very unsure this time around. Didn’t mind BFA that much but I HATE SL. Only still subbed at this point because of WoW tokens I used to pay 6 mths in advance.

Kind of? I’m sure Shadowlands has a lot of great stuff in it, but it’s just got these systems that hang over it all. I’m more ready for systems to go away and the only thing we need to progress is our gear (just gear, no special gimmick gear) and rep.

Yes and no. I’m not a fan of the SL storyline or even the entire concept. But I really like Soulshape and Convoke the Spirits. I’ll be sad when it’s time to leave those behind.

This is my vote for both BfA and Shadowlands.

haha very funny

OMG, YES!

Shadowlands isn’t awful but it’s outstayed its welcome for me.

While I’m always invested in the overall story. The gameplay itself isn’t keeping me sadly. I have little to no motivation to grind for rewards and deal with unappealing systems. Maybe I’ll try once more when the 9.1.5 patch hits but after that I’ll likely just stay strictly rping. Bfa despite how that expac was viewed had more of my time invested in it then shadowlands.

As for looking to the next expac? I’ll be honest the big draws for me are three things. The story, which can be hit or miss. A new race which bring new life and lore especially for the RP community, and of course a new class, which sadly alot of people don’t want because class balancing. So I might dip my toes for two out of those three things for the next expac but with alot of shared opinions that these are two bad back to back expacs in a row, the next one needs to be a hail mary because if it doesn’t have people come back it will fall behind other games and fall into obscurity which would be tragic , but is the fate of games who creators lack in the department of keeping us, the players engaged.

I just like new things. That + the Shadowlands / Jailer plot clearly being a 2-content-patch ordeal kinda makes me hope that we move on after 9.2.

But it’s not like Blizzard haven’t shifted gears for the ending of an expansion before. I still think it could go either way. Especially if mopping up the Scourge stuff ends up being the endcap to this expansion, since a lot of assets could be re-used for that to save time.

Expressing same as some others. Just want it over with, but don’t rush the next one. Patch this one up the best they can and give us really gd great future that includes all four legs of this WoW mmorpg chair.

I don’t know anymore. I want to move on to the next mainly because I’ve honestly stopped caring as much as I used to about what’s happening now. The bits of neat stuff that happened in the current patch that made me excited didn’t really last long.

Right now, I only care about a few things. The Harvesters finding new peeps to fill in the empty spots for their circle. What will happen to Vol’jin. And Denathrius.

I’m honestly not too confident about the story around Denathrius and Vol’jin continuing in this expansion…

While I want to move on, I don’t want it to be rushed :pensive:

after BfA I thought it could’t be a worse exp, but shadowlands proves me i was wrong.
Shadowlands got a really silly lore, with a boring and generic bad guy and sylvanas doing something (at this point i don’t know what is that). But i don’t think a 10.0 would be better, probably we gonna fight another big bad guy and we need another borrow power sistem

I think it’s better unsuscribe and try another game, perhaps that motivate them to do a better work and no worrying about things like changing master baiter

Going into the “afterlife” was a bad decision, in my opinion. They destroyed so much of the mystique of how things work (so much so that I have had to imagine the Shadowlands as an alien world instead of the “afterlife” to even partly enjoy it), but there’s no guarantee that the next place we are sent won’t be worse.

Am I in a hurry to leave? At this point, leaving might not be an expansion, but an account cancellation.

Shadowlands is looking to be another WoD in terms of content, granted 6.1 was just the selfie cam, we’ve had legitimately one major patch all year long, I was invested in revendreth and zovaal at the first, but the prolong waitin for new stuff has killed my vibe for this place. I miss Azeroth, I miss class sets, I miss consistent patch updates. 9.3 isn’t going to happen bet my dollar on it.

Of course it will just like 8.0 did and 7.0 did when these current types of system started .

Each new expansion is always going to be the devil you don’t know . Are you saying you want to stay in one expansion and never move forward ?

If so may I recommend Classic Era WoW which is Vanilla only .

That’s the thing though, we probably already know the Devil that is coming up in 10.0 - Systems, borrowed power, kindergarten narratives and puritanical game design…

And neither is having a .3 patch .

If you look at 9.1 it has had elements of both a .1 and a .2 patch the only thing it lacked was a .1 mini raid but got the Sylvanas raid which in all honesty would of been more likely a .2 raid along with a mega dungeon that normally comes in a .2 patch as well as flying . Add in that we are getting in 9.1.5 catch up as well as a version of the ripcord being pulled which would of likely came in a x.2.5 or x.3 patch .

9.2 will most likely be the content originally meant for 9.3 and what ever 9.2 content they didn’t combine into 9.1.

It’s kind of like fish after 3 days it starts to stink

There definitely needs to be new zones in 9.3. Or they need to make the current zones interesting. The problem with new zones though is there will always be some stupid new resources that you have to get.
