Depends on features.
If its more borrowed power then im indifferent.
If its actual character progression then as long as the story isnt butchered (more than it is) to wrap it up then cut bait

Thatās the biggest disappointment in BfA; like it seemed like the expansion would be dialed back and weād focus on alliance vs horde.
But no. Azshara introduced and dealt with in a single patch.
Nāzoth & Nyalotha introduced and dealt with in a single patch.
Iām sure that somewhere, in some distant part of the globe, there is a player who actually finds āTHE JAILERRRRRRRā a compelling character, but really, from day one of Shadowlands, the already-dodgy āloreā has just been laughably, amateurishly awful.
They may as well have just called him āthe bogeymanā and thrown out some generic tropes. Doubling down on it in 9.1 didnāt help. Oh, no! THE JAILERRRRR has done something with tropey iron chains and manacles because evil, and chained a chunk of patch content to his tropey world so we can explore it and completely forget about THE JAILERRRR aside from that annoying weekly fill-the-bar that tells you to āsubdue the JAILERRRRRās forcesā or whatever.
Does anyone actually CARE about any of this alleged āstory?ā Nope. Weāre logging in daily to do busywork chores to fill more bars and make more gold, and aside from the fact that Drab Gromits are seriously cute when theyāre glowing, nothing else matters, least of all THE JAILERRRRR.
Just make him a raid boss so the pushers can kill him off and the rest of us can get back to some hope that WoW will one day have an interesting story again, like it did in Mists of Pandaria, before the trope-fest team came in and started pulling lore cliches out of a hat to roll out in the vague hope of triggering nostalgia in a dwindling playerbase.
</end rant>
Iām not even in a hurry to work through all of it, much less leave it. I approach the game differently than many do. Iām currently questing in Argus today.
This times infinity squared. It is (for my personally) the worst expansion by far.
Last 4ā¦WoD Legion BFA and SL
after 3 expacs in a row id gladly take wod the game in general was just more fun in any expac before the last 3 systems burnout is real
I check out the new SL stuff as it gets patched in, but it gets old fast, and I find myself doing mostly old content. The older stuff is keeping me entertained at the moment. And as others have said, if the next xpac starts out like the last three, Iām in no hurry to get there.
Yes, Iām in a hurry. I hate the theme/story/lore of Shadowlands so anything would be better!
There is no reason for a 9.3, just stretching it out past what it needs to be.
2 years is fine, new expansions bring butts to seats and I know theyāll mess up a new expansion but at least they have more freedom there.
With how it is now, they are confined within what they did.
I want a 9.3 and would rather see SL be a full normal expansion. Thereās no reason to believe theyāre ending it early just because some people subjectively donāt like the story. Not Blizzās problem.
The 2 year thing isnāt a hard deadline. Itās not a big deal if SL goes on for a little longer than usual. And Iād really rather not do another apocalyptic content drought. Do you remember WoD? That was 14 months between 6.2 and Legion. That was the most boring eternal purgatory weāve ever been trapped in.
So Iād prefer they finish SL properly, give us content to play with and then do 10.0 whenever it gets here.
So much so that I have so far declined to buy this expansion. It more than didnāt grab me - I found the bizarre turn sustaining Sylvanas at the end of BfA so off-putting, I canāt bring myself to spend money on Shadowlands.
Doubtless, Iāll explore it on down the line, at some point, as I did Draenor, well after the fact.
But my characters are from Azeroth. Their concerns are on Azeroth. Thatās where restorative work is needed, and Iād vastly prefer an expansion based on rebuilding and renewal than another cosmic threat at Power Level Over 9,000.
I just want a really, really good 9.2 and then Iām ready to move on.
I dont understand the āwe must end Shadowlands to get to 10.0 immediatelyā crowd thinking rushing development time would cause literally the same gripes and issues that people complain about.
if the next expac is āWorld of Fruitcraft - Battle for the Fruitā then Iād rather play SL
youāre right and wrong. Shadowlands was unfinished because they rushed but also Blizz deliberately ignored beta player feedback which caused problems too
So again the best idea is rush to the end and then rush to the next expac? Again, zero sense.
Ehhhā¦yes and no, I donāt know all the lore when it comes to death in wow so I canāt determine if the current story is bad or not, even then it wouldnāt push me away. I like the current systems and Iāll definitely miss Theotar and the other Venthyr when we leave the shadowlands, I will absolutely not miss the Maw or Korthia. Korthia more than the maw, I donāt know why but certain rares causes disconnection loops for me, I feel like itās painful for any non-stealth classes to run through and isnāt fully geared yet. I hope we keep our covenant abilities into future expansions.
Regarding just game play and gearing, I bought a month of game time, I completed the entire storyline and covenant campaign in about a 2 weeks, gearing was definitely not fun in terms of going into dungeons/raids, a lot of my gear is from the korthia dailies, world bosses, or covenant adventures, having gear drop from instances isā¦rare for me, I keep getting conduits for specs I donāt play.
All in all, Iām in no rush to leave but I can fully understand why others want to move on already. I think having Sylvanas in the limelight this long with no consequences is already causing issues even among those who donāt usually care about that sorta stuff. I echo what some other say in that Nyālotha and Azshara should have been itās own expansion. I think it should have came after Shadowlands without the corruption system, I loved the Visions of NāZoth patch and if it was an expansion then it could have been bigger than what it was, on top of that it would make even more sense, NāZoth could have taken advantage that we and most of the hard hitters were in the maw, Wrathion and Magni would really be the only ones defending Azeroth. It would also play in to NāZoth being patient, Azshara released him but he wonāt act until he sees that the players, Jaina, Anduin, Thrall, etc are gone and distracted, take advantage of the unruly undead.
Hobsonās choice. If they give up on Shadowlands and leave a content drought like theyāve done too many times in the past, that would probably be one time too many for me. The content they added at the end of BfA saved that expansion from being as bad or worse than WoD as far as Iām concerned.
Considering their track record, Iām not at all hopeful the bumbling bubbleheaded boobies at Blizzard can create a decent expension anymore, so pinning my hopes on 10.0 would seem like a fools errand.
So much in a hurry that I unsubbed.
