Personally I’ve never seen it abused. I’ve seen players kicked for legit reasons like being AFK, or one who came in dual boxing and couldn’t play both remotely well.

I don’t want to go back to what it was like during LK when tanks could hold groups hostage. The system exists for a reason. Is it perfect? Nope, but realistically it is the best it can be while allowing random grouping. You don’t want to get kicked, join a guild, make friends and run with them. There are tools in your hands. People shouldn’t be forced to group with others.

absolutely agree. Just wanting it shut down ASAP and a long CD is the way to do it.

Look at them all in here…keep saying vote kicks aint happening, they dont see them, blah blah blah…well since they dont happen then they all wont mind AT ALL if theres a 6 hour CD on it.

Unless…of course…they are LYING and KNOW theyre kicking far more than theyre admitting…

Remove the timer entirely…OR…it only gets applied incrementally so it reallly affect the trolling player who might actually be causing himself to be kicked.

So first kick of the day…no timeout.
then +10 minutes per additional kick for the day.

So if you got kicked twice today…youd get zero time out and then 10 minutes the second time…50 minutes less this way than if you had gotten 30 minutes twice.

somone who MIGHT be jerking players around and trying to gets kicked over and over is looking at even more than 30 minutes if he keeps actin the fool, doing it this way.

This has already been addressed. And a solution is on the table. Most of the Pro Vote kicker dont want to touch my solution because i gave them one, which would remove the power of the groups.

So we need to change that. We cannot be under a system that only favor a certain dynamic.

You dont need to accept it, we can suggest a change and find middle ground.

Here is my suggestion that helps everyone :

Vote kick a player - the kicked player should not earn a debuff.

If a toxic player reques - and earn another kick, let’s say 3 kicks. He earn the timer.

If tanks/ any Role are leaving the dungeon - he right away eats the timer. Nothing should change.

Groups kicking should have a cooldown. Every player kicking anyone should have a cooldown. This way kicks are being issued on the most needed ones.

Players getting kicked and warning debuff should have their debuff reset the next day.

I thought of one more point to protect new players : new players need to do a dungeon atleast let’s say 5 times before they fall into the kick threshold.

This way we have given them enough time to understand the dungeon.

Misery loves projecting itself out onto everything around it…kicking for no valid reason allows them to abuse other players and not be punished for it themselves…of course theyre gonna fight that

and you ignore most of my post. In all of my years playing I haven’t seen a person kicked wantonly or undeserved. In fact after digging it normally comes out that someone did something to deserve it and ultimately it boils down to you can’t force people to group with you. Period. Even with the complaints on the forums it is still a minute fraction of the number of groups made by the match making system.

The debuff exists for a reason as a deterrent for people who don’t know how to act in groups. Again the system isn’t perfect. Will some people who are undeserved to be kicked get through, yes it could potentially happen. But I’ve been around this game/forums long enough to be jaded enough to not believe it exists.

I’ve only been kicked once in several years, and this was actually most recent. Only difference is, I didn’t run to the forums complaining I’ve been kicked.

Though I did report the whisper that followed with the kick as one of the group members whispered me a real life threat.

Sure then you should have no issues with a reworked VOte kick system. Since you are not in the threshold, it should not directly effect but only be an added benefit. More like QOL change for you.

Exactly the same applies to players who want to kick so their group progresses.

They should have no issues with accepting players who get kicked but do not eat the debuff.

As their main intention was to kick the player so they can progress.

Their are comparing this system to 2009 - our phones are more powerfull than the pc we had in 2009.

Imagine how easy it would be for blizzard to solve this and automate this issue.

Exactly - they want to hold onto the power that was given to them in hope of being responsible.

Clearly they are not - they have accepted multiple times that they will do what they like with it.

How is a player going to do this to another player - when I have given them the option to vote kick but no debuff.

I even addressed the issue that repeat offenders will get the debuff.

What baffles me is, they want to initiate the kick and let the person eat the debuff.

What is the motto behind that ? If your intention was to kick and you can do the content - you achieved it.

Now why are you concerned - lets leave that on blizzard automation to watch that player.

This will actually help the community - new players can play stress free and be more confident if they want to try something new.

Yes, they should not reverse course this is where the social contract comes into play.

A player is expected to be decent not a troll.

There was no social contract during wotlk

I can prove it by a simple YouTube link that used all the keyword that can get you band now. And they were laughing.

So there nothing for to show the player and hold them responsible.
