Are we really going to go live with another god-comp?

You know what ive relized im wasting my time trying to convince you blizard isnt a perfect balancing deity and we are going nowhere, so imma head out with the simple statement they are losing players becuase of how terribly they have balanced this season, as many people in this forums page have posted, it affects everyone in every key level but im not ganna sit here and explain how it works so have a nice day

Double DH was Havoc Vengeance so while they share darkness that’s kinda the only thing. VDH has an enormous amount of AoE cc now with the changes to their talent tree.

No one cares about keys above 20, again, you are proving my point for me here. Top end players are creating this problem, the average WoW player doesn’t give a hoot about the .001% of the population that is pushing past 20s or Mythic raiding.

The thing that sucks, these players influence the meta. This has always been a problem in the game.

Ghostcrawler attempted to fix this issue in Cata and MoP and what happened was some of the most homogenized class design the game has ever seen.

People forget that this game didn’t set out to be a competitive sweatfest that is today. Trying to tailor the game around parsing and addons has turned the game into boring mess it is today.

So answer this question, can a group clear a +20 or a Mythic raid without an Aug currently?

Not even close to the degree that it was this past season. Even S4 shadowlands, which had an extremely inbalanced meta with Survival, Destro, BDK, there were more other specs in title range than there are now.

It’s not comparable. This is by far the most locked in a comp has ever been in WOW’s history. And it’s coming immediately after a reasonably balanced S1, and even better balance in S2 pre aug.

I do, and as one of the only people in this conversation I imagine actually experienced playing the game at that level first hand I’ve watched my friends list dwindle as people quit because reaching the levels they had in previous seasons simply was not possible without swapping to a different class.

I don’t think the game has to be uniformly balanced, I don’t think blizzard needs to ruin anyone’s fun at the expense of “the elite” or whatever. I just think if blizzard did a tiny bit better, everyone would benefit.

OH THATS RIGHT, even though I have higher IO than the group leader, can nearly solo the dps needed for a simple 20 at his point with gear and tier, the odds of me actually being invited to said key is VERY low

They’re losing players, because they keep trying to cater to a small vocal minority of top end players. Even the RWF guilds are saying this now, that the game has forgotten the average MMO player.

Honestly, I don’t think you realize how small the population is that Mythic raids and does keys above 20s.

Like I said, your complaints are proving my argument for me, you’re just too blind to see it.

well your dull, balancing the game isnt catering to the 1%

I mean that’s part of the reason i find the Aug / Disc / double DH combo so alarming.

MDI style stuff like this weeks guild clash are supposed to be wierd with uncapped classes like Feral and Unholy.

But we didn’t see any of that. Instead we saw a comp configured for the Great Push / high keys utterly dominating a space that was previously a playground for niche choices.

To me that means that much like the god-comp of 10.1.5, the 10.2 comp is already so strong that even uncapped aoe has no place in +19 megapulls. There’s literally no reason to take something else.

Do you need an Aug to run a +20 key?

The simple FACT is that balancing is required in a MMORPG, it doesnt have to be perfect, but 5 classes being the only 5 taken in keys ruins the game, at every level, asking if its required to do said content is irrelevant, any class can do any content, will you get invited, will you get destroyed by someone playing meta even if you parse 20-40% higher than them, those affect anyone in any aspect of the game and are caused by the severe unbalance of the game

I think part of that might be down to familiarity / the general overtuned nature of the dungeons themselves, as well as significantly less time / incentive being afforded to innovate. Play the thing you’ve been blasting on in PTR and see how it goes.

MDI level innovation usually takes a lot of time and a lot of practice because it’s a lot more risky to execute. The majority of these people’s experience with the dungeons will have been playing PTR keys on their prospective mains during testing.

A group can clear a +20 in time without a tank currently. Nothing matters at that key level.

Answer me this, would specs being just a little bit closer together in terms of their maximum capabilities make the game worse?

Is the game better in 10.1 as a result of things being wildly out of balance?
