I afk a lot so I donāt like to be ganked while Iām taking a poo. Yeah Iām a carebear but once battlegrounds are out Iāll play pvp. Until then Iāll afk and take a poo In peace

I used to PVP a bunch with my old raiding guild. This one guy in the guild, was a latino who always threatened people outside the game (over vent etc.) with finding them and stabbing them with his knifeā¦
This guy, would always hot-mic his vent, and hearing the things he would say over ventā¦ Iām convinced heās a sociopath just waiting to do the wrong thing in life and end up in prison for life.
That completely turned me off from PVP, and I havenāt done any since MoP.
Keep in mind, this was on a PVE server (up until the guild entirely moved to a PVP server, and I would still interact with or keep in touch with them, but I never went along with the transfer).
I couldnāt describe the things he would say or how he would sound accurately. Imagine lots of breathing, MAJOR anger and rage, tons of yelling (while he would get angry and flip out if ANYBODY ELSE yelled at all >_>), and always sounded like he was frothing at the mouth while chasing after somebody, and then sounded like he was drinking the blood of someone he had just cutā¦
Thatās the best I can describe it. As for WPVP, yeah no thanks, Iāll take co-op Skyrim ANY DAY over that kind of atmosphere.

I was half-serious. Some are bitter, most of it is just good clean fun. Butā¦ Pvp servers are all about the revenge. LOL

People take a sense of pride in making a game harder. I play PvE because I donāt enjoy getting ganked. Equal level world PvP is fun, but not worth having to deal with a bunch of extra corpse runs or potentially getting corpse camped/raid grouped while youāre trying to play the game.
As someone who loves to duel, go into BGs and dabble in arenas I never understood Wpvp. Itās almost always like 3v1 or 1v1 but one guy is 10 levels+ higher or 1v1 but one guy is also tanking mobs.
I love to PvP when it means itās actually like an honorable fight and a level playing field but WPvP is just silly to me.

I have always and will always play on PVP servers but I almost never gank, start nonsense, kill lowbies, be a schmuck.
So why do I play on PVP servers? I play on PVP servers because one of the core concepts of this game is that thereās a war weāre in the middle of and to completely remove that from the experience doesnāt make sense to me.
I play on a pvp server not out of desire to actually engage in pvp but for that extra thrill and challenge . I wonāt go out of my way to hunt other players but I like leveling and having that threat always out there. Makes it more fun. I guess you could call me a ādefensive pvperā or something.
I just want an extra threat while Iām doing quests
PvE is a chill server.

Well thatās nice that you donāt kill lowbies but so far after hitting level 30 I havenāt been able to quest at all because Horde just kill me on sight. If someone can only play for an hour or two per day why would they wanna spend 90% of that time running back to corpse? WPvP is NOT half of the game. Thatās the most ridiculous statement Iāve ever heard.

I played on a PVP server the first time around, never liked getting Ganked! So, now I play the way I want to, if you donāt want to play PVE thatās fine by me. You have a choice in what style you play the game. I am more interested in playing the game with the content controlled by my own progression. Pvp is not something I enjoy. Loving my Pve server, thank you!

Some people donāt enjoy PvP, thatās fine. Iāve never seen the appeal in PvP servers, theyāre just not for me. I play on PvE servers because thatās what I enjoy, and most of the friends Iāve made playing the game also prefer PvE servers. Not everyone needs to be bloodthirsty 100% of the time.

PvE isnāt immune to a$%hattery. Thereās plenty of stupid there too, itās just a different kind of stupid. Pick your poison. Personally, the world feels more alive on a PvP server. My gameplay experience has some texture, and I prefer having those ups and downs.
I started on Whitemane PVP server for Classic and everything was fine until lvl 30 going into STV Or Arathi was a Nightmare. High level characters camping quest givers or fearing any that got close to the Quest turn in. a Couple hours of that and I completely restarted on a PVE Server. I need to feel like iām progressing without world PVP getting in the way

Except PvP is only a small section of the game, try again because itās nowhere near at all half the game and itās not a foundation or it wonāt be optional now would it?
Itās just banter. Maybe some people are actually serious but I know Iām not. Same thing with smack talking the alliance, I donāt actually hate them itās just fun teasing the other faction. That being said if PvE players could get over their fear of being ganked I think they would have much more fun on a PvP server.
I play purely defensively. I have never killed a lowbie and only attack when there is a skirmish or someone tries to gank me. Nothing is more satisfying than destroying an opponent who has the upper hand and thinks you will be a free kill.
