Short answer is that some people are idiots & elitist with no regard to how other people play the game or what they enjoy in the game.
Donāt know where I was telling you how to play WoW. But go ahead and deflect as you see fit.
I donāt hate pvp, I just hate 95-99% of the people who take part in it.
This. Itās not about cowardess. Some people feel that world PvP is a waste of time, because itās almost entirely ganking and rarely competitive. Nobody ever attacks anyone unless they outlevel or outnumber them. It doesnāt accomplish anything except annoying the person who gets ganked while heās trying to get quests done.
If you donāt enjoy annoying people for no reason, then youāre probably not going to like it. You have to have a sadistic streak in you, IMO, and not everyone is like that.
judging by this thread I also donāt play on PVP servers because there are too many kiddies that think if they talk enough crap on a forum theyāll be mistaken for an adult (while ironically making themselves look more childish)
kinda funny, but I like the quiet.
This is so pathetically wrong itāsā¦sad.
I played vanilla on pvp servers. Played all the way to mop on pvo servers. They arenāt harder than pve servers. Anyone who thinks they are is a fool.
99% of the time people who attempted to gank me were dealt with easily and i went alo g my way. It wasnāt exciting. It was boring and the majority of players attacking me were so bad i could literally just stand in one spot and kill them.
Also telling people that the way they enjoy a game is extremely pathetic on your part.
Youāre entitled to your opinion ofc, but itās pretty closed minded IMO
I think pvp servers are fine for Emoās and 12 yr olds. let them beā¦
Sick burn broā¦ya got me
Hey man,
You know that Zebras IRL would highly disagree with your statement. The fact that they have to worry about getting ganked by a hunting Lion at every waking moment, Iām pretty sure this reality makes their life a lot harder than it should be.
Worrying about getting stalked by predators makes the world feel way more dangerous, and I think you should be feeling this way when setting foot on someone elseās turf.
I prefer to level on a PVE server. I donāt care what I am called lol.
I rather not get ganked or camped constantly, but I used to level back in Burning Crusade on a PVP server. I just donāt have time nowadays to sit and wait until the Alliance go away.
When the game first came out, I played on a PVP server and canāt complain, it was fun. Gank, get ganked and what not but it gets boring real quick when you are 20 levels below your opponent. On the other hand, players are a bit more incline on helping you out.
I ended up on a PVE server and enjoyed it a bit more. The focus is more on advancement of your character and you can still PVP if you want. 15 years later, I prefer to be on a PVE server and that`s pretty much it.
Call me a carebear if you wish. I personaly do not get offended by it, Iāve seen my fair share of PVP in games like Eve-Online where losses means, loosing your ship and sometimes, your character.
Iāve never considered WOW a hardcore PVP game in the first place. No matter which server you play, youāll meet great people mixed with a sprinkle of bad apples.
Wow itās almost like that type of experience might be more fun to some people than constantly getting ganked by 5 people.
Some of us are just too old for that crap. Life is short. Play the game you want to play.
So how many of the āPvE is easy modeā respondents in this thread are rogues who are the undisputed godmode ruler of PvP in classic/vanilla ?
i picked atiesh because it didnt have a queue on launch.
PvE realms should be reserved for the streamers once they get forced off the PvP servers after being ganked and streamsniped forever and their followers can go there to.
Not interested in spending my limited free time as gank fodder. Thanks, tho.
A counterargument from the PvE crowd is that PvP servers are just like PvE servers with EXTRA functionality tacked on. Permanently. Functionality weād rather engage with on our own terms.
Honestly, they spend way too much time concerned with players who want nothing to do with them. Sour grapes, perhaps, because we donāt let them gank us and corpse-camp us.
I find the drivel that weāre missing out on āhalf the gameā absurd. I almost quit WOW because I started on a PvP realm where I was being prevented from doing anything but run to my corpse. I was hating their so-called half of the game, and not getting to enjoy anything else.
If PvP is what someone enjoys, then rolling on a PvP realm is absolutely right for them. It doesnāt make them better or worse. (Yet they have to spend a lot of time convincing themselves it makes them better. Take that as you will.)
