What I said is wpvp in WoW is boring and pointless other than to gank and grief. Which as I noted has very little to do with the actual War in Warcraft.

Which is why you will get made fun of time and time again by a lot of PVP server people.

I realize this, they need to justify their behavior by trying to pretend it’s something other than what it is.

No justification needed. No explanation needed. They see a player of the opposing faction and they wage war on them through any available means till one or the other is dead.

If it is red then it is dead. Kill or be killed.

Really ? … theres multiple threads with countless troll replies that says otherwise. The replies many have given to some who are pleading to not be camped for hours on end by people 10 or more levels higher show a pattern. PvP servers have a higher portion of players who want to grief lower levels just for lolz, that PvE servers just dont have for obvious reasons.

I’ll give, mutually agreed upon fair PvP does happen on PvP servers, but so does imature griefing that doesnt happen on PvE servers.

This is correct. I know going into a PVP server, I could get killed by some guy many levels above me to where nothing I do will end in my victory. However, that’s the price you pay for those vanilla world raids which were a total blast and… drum roll were done for fun, not for any free purps.

Some of my most memorable WPvP experiences have been on a PvE server. It’s much more rewarding when you have consent and an even match.

But i do get it and what you’re getting to, not everyone on a PvP realm is some epeen stroking kid getting off on ganking lowbies for hours on end, and each to his own indeed.

lol imagine pvping in wow. Even the competitive “E-sPoRt” scene is centered around speed running dungeons. PvPers are playing the wrong game.

The skill of 2019 pvp top tier players will create a very different experience than vanilla. Im not sure uf the entire pvp player base is prepared for it.

Personally this thread has been a reminder to start leveling my PvE alts because I sense the server type migration will happen way faster thsn it did last time.

To each is their own and there is no real right/wrong answer.

It’s the same on the Diablo 3 forums when people talk about hardcore vs softcore.

It’s just 2 different ways to enjoy the same game.

I wanna play the game my way. You can play it your way. Why we gotta pick on people when there’s plenty of servers and population?

I play MMOs to not be stressed and when I’m trying to just fish or do a quest and I can’t because some bored 60 rogue decided to make me his lunch it just makes the game stressful and then boring as I just end up never wanting to do anything risky.

Lol. I feel similar about PvP servers…if i make that admission to the wrong person on a PvE server i get subjected to thier rage over having been ganked by someone much higher level.

I can proudly say i have never ganked someone more than 6 or 7 levels below me, but it still doesn’t wash the stains out lol.

I mean yes, ganking happens. But you also get the fair battles between the same level players, and groups vs groups while questing. Some people have this impression that playing on a pvp server means a skull level player will kill you over and over every day. That’s just never been the case for me, and when it has happened that a skull kills me, a higher level Alliance kills him and he’s gone (happened last night actually )

the terribad scrubs went to the PvE servers. Those servers are a joke. If you go to warcraftlogs and look in the classic section theres only a single PvE server guild with boss kills and they are on EU. Pagle and Atiesh are a laughing stock of carebears that couldnt handle the real servers. Go to a PvE server and then dont PvE, ROFL thats hilarious.
