Not real, the war in world of warcraft is horde vs alliance. That has nothing to do with pvp and exists on pve servers. PvP servers are just about ganking for no reason other than to grief.
I have no desire to pay $15 dollars a month to be a moving target for gankers, so I play on a PVE server. Never really enjoyed world PVP, but I get it that a lot of people enjoy it. When I feel like PVP, I’ll queue for a battle ground once their released. In the meantime, I can concentrate on leveling and just enjoying the game in peace the way I want to play it.
Sure you did bud, sure you did. 100% believe you while you’re sitting on a pve server toon. Tell me more about how much you know about pvp Mr. Challenger Brakiros.
I’m saying all pvp for YOU is ganking. I’ve played STV for the last 3 days just questing and pvping and I’ve been ganked maybe 3-4 times. The rest was just straight up fights.
That’s only partially true. On a PVP server, your forced to compete, so everyone min-maxes. On a PVE server, you can play the game on a harder mode without it being a mistake.
For example, I play as a Yellow Name, meaning I never attack. Things attack me, and I defend myself, even as a hunter I always let my prey get the first hit in. On my priest, I never train a single shadow spell (because shadow spells are evil).
From my perspective PVP servers require you to play on Easy Mode in order to be competitive. Min-Max is easy mode. That’s why you don’t have any real priests on your realms, just shadow priests, and former shadow priests.
Because PvP players tend to be more toxic in every game, they only think on themselves always crying about balance and wanting all the worlds attention to them, all they do is demand demand and never get happy.
thats why i avoid PvP on PvE games.
Being outnumbered isn’t fair but war isn’t fair.
Being ambushed isn’t fair but war isn’t fair.
This is why the people that play on PVE servers are frequently looked down upon. They want to play on a server where they control when the war happens - Typically only when the fight will be to their advantage.
The PVP server players take their lumps whenever and however they may come, and they dish out the lumps whenever they can and however they can.
Does it make life on PVP servers more exciting? You bet it does. Does it also make life unfair? Yeah, but life isn’t fair either.
Guess what, darling? Ganking happened before the honor system was put in and it happened after it was put in. This time around is no different - People are killing each other before the honor system is in and they will be killing each other after it has been put in.
My experience with PVP realms is that World PVPers are cowards. Rarely do you ever get a good fight. If you encounter someone, they’ll avoid you unless they’re a higher level than you, have more people than you, or if they can attack you while you’re fighting a mob. When it’s a fair fight, you can walk right towards them, and they’ll run away.
AFK a minute to hit the toilet, and you come back to a dead corpse. How are PVPers not the cowards?
Edit: Those with the most honor points typically have the least true honor. FACT.
What I said is wpvp in WoW is boring and pointless other than to gank and grief. Which as I noted has very little to do with the actual War in Warcraft.
Just bored of it. Wow pvp was never very good. Especially as melee givin that there is no collision with players (can run through eachother) and gankers always run from anything resembling an even fight so you never get any cool battles. Just ganks and wasting your time responding to it.
