Are people going to take DPS Ferals now or?

I guess that’s why there’s more context below the part of my comment that you quoted.

Okay so compare the top 1% of ferals to the top 20% of every other melee and tell me what you see.

Yes but you brought up those skills even though Mangle is way better and is specifically meant to be used as our main skill while leveling/in front of bosses. Like why would you even bring up somet irrelevant druid ability when sinister strike is still very relevant to sword rogues. It was an awful comparison. SS should be compared to Mangle and nothing else.

That’s fine, you realize you can filter the logs down to individual players?

Go compare the top 10 rogue parses to the top 10 feral parses and hey guess what they’ll show once again that kitty dps is bad.

The sweats will probably not take ferals for dps. The dad guilds wont care and both will clear content.

No. Context.

People like you are so obnoxiously keen on being “right” about whatever it is you know about the game you don’t even pay attention to what other people say before you start in on an “Actually…” diatribe.

Now go compare the top hunter Parses and tell me what was in their party to give them that dps.

Sure but LotP works in bear form too

Idk if he was in bear, but the druid in that hunters group for the top Mag parse did like 1030 dps.

Not sure a bear would do that. I think he was definitely cat.

Hunter was like 2200 dps.

I don’t know exactly how much dps 5% crit is for a hunter but i doubt it’s that much.

Don’t listen to the miserable naysayers. You can find a guild where you are primarily a DPS and offtank here and there instead of primarily a tank and DPS here and there. You can look at Warcraft Logs and find that that’s many people’s situation.

Feral is high-skill cap and getting a buff, too. You probably should make sure you’re really good at that rotation, though!

Not entirely sure but it does add up to a pretty good amount assuming the pet also gets the buff.

Hunter pets gain an attack speed buff when they crit, so higher uptime on that.

Hunters restore 50 focus to their pet when they crit, so a lot more focus is being generated.

Hunter crits activate Kill Command which has no CD, which is a good part of hunter damage.

Might be more I’m missing but crit is really strong for bm.

And everyone in the room clapped!

Sure, no one contests that, but if we’re going to start laying credit for DPS given for buffs/debuffs provided, then Retribution Paladins and Enhancement Shaman suddenly shoot up even more on top of their raw DPS output. Windfury Weapon, Heroism/Bloodlust, Seal of the Crusader, Blessings generally, Totems generally, etc, all make Mark of the Wild, Mangle, and Leader of the Pack pretty lackluster.

Like I said, a Bear can contribute everything a Cat can in terms of buffs and debuffs.

You just said why they are all brought into raids lol.

Not always about personal dps.

can they cleave?
no?
the no

I apologize but I thought you were implying that cat was bad to play because we “have” to use mangle, when in reality we’re lucky to have mangle because it’s an incredible skill, since it only makes claw redundant because of how good it is. What point were you trying to make?

That optimizing cat dps requires that you use Shred. Shred, of course, requires Mangle to do more damage which is why I mentioned it. I said all this because I was comparing Cats to Rogues.

Rogues, unlike Cats, have the option of choosing specs and builds that do not require the use of Backstab and can instead utilize Sinister Strike. Unfortunately, there are no talents in the Feral tree that allow Cats to optimize Claw or Rake over Shred.

It’s ok tho because cats buff BM and that’s all that matters.

Pretty much.

Cat DPS is there too, I guess, but that’s not the priority.
