One thing I can tell you for absolute certain. Watch the responses. when you see someone defending the behavior or pretending its ok, theyre involved in it.
Likely the ones who flagged you even if you werent violating any rules.
they all just did it earlier today and got a thread locked without a single violation of rules in the threads OP they all went nuts flag bombing and then derailing
I’m starting to think Blizz does not take the forums all that seriously and does not see it as a vital part of WoW.
Its not like when people can ask questions at Blizzcon anyone ever says “Um, Hi, I’m really having trouble progressing my Rogue and gearing my Shaman and so I was wondering if you plan to fix the forums?”

If you weren’t sanctioned, then it wasn’t something you did. It was just to stop the devolving thread.

Even when you have them look at a bogus suspension you’ll just get the standard ‘we dont care’ form letter about 75% of the time.

More serious issues don’t get well moderated as a result.

Just an observation, dont know for sure, but like Ive had posts removed…but no violation of rules was accused or actioned…
So the assumption there is that there is no violation…ie if youre still posting without having been actioned, the post you had flagged contained no rule violation…and yet moderation still removes it.
THAT is one of the main problems in here.
This group knows they can coordinate the bogus flag bombings and EVEN IF you havent violated any rules, if theyve destroyed the thread with off topic derailing/trolling posts, mods will delete even though you did nothing wrong.
Its been going on for nearly as long as Ive been posting here. Seems to go in cycles depending on whether certain persons are posting in here currently. Does seem to be only when theyre here, however.
the more I see ones from that group active in here, the more Ive noticed the flag bombings and restored posts/threads happen and the more locked threads where the OP did nothing wrong occur.
its about a dozen names, Im sure you can run down thru a few threads and figure them out.
honestly I hope they don’t, some of the nonsense that gets posted here is deserving of nothing but going straight to the trash.

Because it was spam and it got reported. We are supposed to make threads to discuss WoW and WoW related topics. Anything else is considered spam. Off topic stuff has several lounges you can post in if you want. Making a thread JUST to be silly is sometimes tolerated, but any off topic threads can get the mod deletion hammer.
They tend to allow the lounges and one or two recent off topics then just remove extras. If you did not get a suspension then the mods did not feel you did something really bad. It was a violation, but not enough to penalize you. They just deleted the thread which is a reminder to check the forum Code of Conduct and don’t do that again.
