Are guilds allowed to sell guild invites?

Since it doesnt directly effect game play, and is outside the game, there probably isnt a TOS issue.

But if you want to pay a 2nd sub, thats on you. (or the purchaser)

I assume you’re talking about WoW Made Easy? You’re allowed to name and shame scummy people. It’s ok.

Having that guild title will have the same effect as having the gilded Brutosaur mount; you’ll just be painting a target on your back to be mocked and ridiculed.

I have encounter a few of these guilds.

I play this game for fun. I am of the opinion that I have no interest in any guild that even requires an application to join.

This is a game, not a damn job.

I’ve never known blizz to be ok with players using usd to make game related purchases from other players. Unless things have changed drastically over the last few years, this should catch you a ban for being a part of the guild.

That is not an official response.

I assumed Blizz didn’t care enough about the issue to warrant a response.

See how assumptions work? It would have been better if Blizz actually responded to remove any confusion on the issue.

 wake me when this guild has an onlyfans

You can, using this exact method. As long as wording is clear that you’re paying for an unrelated service and the addons are simply a perk of your subscription, you can get away with it. People have been doing it for years.

Definitely a grey area and I think it doesn’t directly violate ToS. Just don’t join the guild. If you want to support a content creator then by all means donate to them, but don’t pay just to be in a “community” that you could do for free.

This is crazy.

My guild Warcraft Knitters, if you like we have a Patreon. For a small monthly fee you will have access to our Discord, knitting patterns, wow addons. and other perks listed in our Discord. Keep Knitting WoW!!!

Joining the community is free and it’s very active. Mostly players just looking to run keys with people that aren’t buttholes. I think there’s even weekly raids. Not sure what the advantage of paying/joining the guild would be, other than to show your support for the work they do. Not much different than what streamers have been doing for years.

Its an open world. People can buy and sell whatever inside of the ToS

Is their guild name “Pay To Win” ?

I think it’s a bit weird for them to charge money for joining.

not much to brag about or flex about if you had to pay to get in

its weird all around.

You make plenty of assumptions, but I’m sure that nice forum vacation will teach you the phrase: “Assumptions make a donkey out of you and me.” mostly you…

I’m legal age, not a child by any definition; I can legally drink, drive, and vote. And for your information, I voted independent.

Eh, people show off their bank accounts at bars, or think if they join a club all their social problems will be solved. Silver spoons and all that make people forget how to do things.

This went from a thread full of Internet lawyers to political pundits real quick.

its the WME discord guild

So, they charge a sub to join the Discord, which you need to get guild invites?

That is a weird gray area, kind of reminds me of a food stand that wasn’t allowed to sell water, so they sold chips that included a free water.
