I wanna apologize to Morghel for snapping on him yesterday, we don’t always see eye to eye, but yesterday was unnecessary.
All I say is, holy mollusks(since you can’t curse) do I feel dumb for yesterday

OK, but you clearly care about Sylvanas. A no less fictional character. So shouldn’t you have no less emotional investment in her than you do an event like Teld?
There’s a difference between saying something is justified versus they had justifications.
The latter is specifically acknowledging perspective as not being your own.
I personally find it a distasteful story beat but everything’s totally screwed now and I don’t know how the factions can improve to my liking anymore. I remember being annoyed when Vol’jin was bumped off to put Sylvanas in the leadership spot but I was like “please just make it a watershed moment to pull her character upward” because it was too easy and obvious to just make Warchief Sylvanas do worse things but noooope.
Yeah, I had this realization myself around last year and ugh ugh ugh.
I’ve mentioned this a few times before, but the Worgen should return the favor, both groups team up, retake gilneas and the worgen help the Kaldorei grow a new home in gilneas, since there is plenty of land not being used there.
(I tried laying off the worgen bit for a while, because I thought people were sick of me bringing it up, but I guess it’s still a fight that needs fighting)
Sarm my friend, when they offed Vol I knew things where going to get rough for the horde again. I had a nagging feeling in my hearts that Syl wouldn’t be the warchief we needed to carry the horde into the light, I do find it odd how they flip flop constantly on syl. In BFAs cinematic trailer it painted her in a much different light, yet then she becomes the villain I’ve always thought she would be since the end of wrath.
I feel like someone needs to misunderstand Sylvanas or be unhinged themselves to be in favor of a character who has willingly pursued the torture and obliteration of countless eternal souls, including those we would see as utterly innocent (i.e. children).
There’s souls of children who died in war, terrified and confused, crying for their parents in the Maw, and Sylvanas is allied with the ones who are going to pick up those souls and shred them for what anima/stygia they’re worth, condemning them to eternal agony or utter nothingness.
Sylvanas: “fate is stupid, existence is unfair, boo-hoo-hoo”
I cannot muster a single shred of sympathy for the character anymore.
I kind of wish/want to see Genn and Tyrande just utterly wreck her entire existence at this point, so we can be done with her for good.
Or just Tyrande, that works too. Sylvanas just needs to go away forever
It wasn’t just BFA, but Legion too. I hated Stormheim so much. I can’t express how irritating it was to watch an alliance race of all things play the part of a heroic monster after a conga line of horde disappointment stretching back from the Wrathgate quest and the only thing you could call a positive horde thing came from blood elves of all things to putz around in more elf content in Suramar, just to drive straight into tactless WW2 analogues in the next expansion.
Really should’ve stuck with Garrosh but given him the Stonetalon treatment throughout his entire story.
Rather have just had one warchief and stick with them.
I liked Stormheim…for reasons that had nothing to do with the quests there. I just really love the cinematic. But I’m weird like that
Eh, I still don’t think I would have liked that. I hated Garrosh ever since TBC (I abandoned his Nagrand quests because he was that much of a turn-off, and I wasn’t even invested in the story back then) and the plot made him pretty much fail upwards into the warchief spot, and I hated the extra-aggressive bent the faction took in Cataclysm. The whole “actually twilight cultists were responsible but the deception was so good that both factions were fooled” was such a reach that I never thought it credible enough to care as a fig leaf for the horde not feeling worse.
Well they seemed to have intended to replace thrall, I just would’ve preferred to have stopped at the one replacement instead of the many we have had. Then the dissolution of the warchief position as a whole ducked to me.
Definitely, just like the Night Elf fight does. Also I personally would like for the Night Elves to settle in Hyjal, maybe they won’t be the victims of the Horde for a change then.
Given what we know of the Drust, and that there were drust who remained in ardenweald with no problem. I doubt that they were cheated. https://wowpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Kivarr
Their claims of being cheated is because of Gorak Tul binding his people to Thros the emerald nightmare, thus preventing them as nature oriented beings from going to Ardenweald. They’re also outside of the cycle of life and death because of this fact.
Also your example is of one of the thornspeakers who actually fought against Gorak Tul, so they never where brought into the nightmare like the others.
The best I can guess is that she is in fact being tricked. That the Hell she experienced was a bit of kabuki theatre, and through it she was convinced that the Arbiter System is what genuinely put her in the Maw. A belief that would be reinforced by the fact that the only other person she saw there with her, was the one person that she absolutely would believe deserved that sort of eternal torment. Arthas.
Thus, if the System is flawed … there is no true escape for her. Eventually, no matter how long it takes, she’s going to end up in that hellish eternity she feels she was wrongly placed in. Thus, overturning such a cruel and unfair system would be a step to take at least. With the Jailor being the only one really in a position to attempt that.
Hyjal is such a beautiful zone and with all the Wild Gods being ressurrected during Cata, the Kaldorei now have some serious heavy hitters defending the place
Sounds like night elf Zuldazar lol
Is she really preventing it though? Especially considering Zoovals entire plan is make all of reality a living hell/nightmare. She’s merely trading one hell, for another.
