Well the only races left that I actually want are forest trolls and ogres (HUGE Warcraft 2 fan lol). So I’ll take any reason whatsoever to get both.
Any other race given to us, like the Arakkoa, is just a bonus to me. I might not play them because I have no interest in them, but I still support people who want them as playable.... or any other race.

See you're the type of person I love to see. I'm the same way! Not in terms of races I want to see added of course (well, yeah) but anything that makes sense, why not, because the more variety, the better!
Birbs! Please!

Forest Trolls and Ogres would be cool. I can definitely see Forest Trolls added alongside Wildhammer Dwarves. As for Ogres, we've got just the rival for you right here!
I personally think Blizz has only scratched the surface for great new playable races we could see. If they branch out into stuff like Ogres and Arakkoa, it'll be amazing!
Id play ogres so hard.

How hard would you play an ogre based on Mohs' hardness scale for minerals?
I was abruptly struck with the mental vision of Stormwind with Breath of Rukhmar arrays capping it's towers, especially on the cathedral and keep. Imagine an epic scene of those things blazing away in defense of the city.

They could completely cover ground/sea defense, while the winged Arakkoa could cover the skies. Honestly, Arakkoa with their apexis technology would be extremely hard to beat when trying to assault them.

Definitely. And just casual NPC interactions could be quite neat, too. Arakkoa having their own spots up on the high points of Stormwind, occasionally flying down to the streets to converse with other citizens or go into shops. Perhaps a nestling running around with the Stormwind boys.
A good read for Arakkoa fans: https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/story/short-story/apocrypha
Through little excerpts in the beginning and end, it seems like Arakkoa society after WoD is uniting just as we predicted. Blizz, let us see how their world has changed since!

I feel like ogres are inevitable at some point in the future, along with naga and maybe arakkoa
Also they wouldn't be allied races, just new races.

Arakkoa and Ogres seem to have an interesting position where they could easy be implemented as either a 'full' race, or an allied race. It just ultimately depends on how much work they would be valued as being worth to Blizz.
The Arakkoa being my focus, I could see two ways of telling it. The proposed concept here already of the Alliance going to Draenor to seek the Draenei, and getting Arakkoa instead, being for the standard new race format. Or one of the inverse, essentially, of the Arakkoa seeking out the Alliance to try to broker peace with the Lightbound due to their various respective allegiances in the past.

The second option is similar to something I had thought of before, where the Alliance could reason with Yrel and have her join us on Azeroth with the Army of the Light, but I'm not too sure how that'd work out.
Admittedly I rather like the notion of Yrel going baddie. I wasn't terribly attached to the character (likely in part due to Blizz cutting story content) but having a less friendly and rather alarming exposure to oppressive Light-aligned forces would be a decent shake-up.
We already have our own version of Ultra-Light Draenei, anyways. Zero calories!

I imagine Blizz may shy away from that, it'd be a bit redundant and potentially confusing when we already have our Lightforged Draenei.
Just another reason to go with our feathered friends instead, Blizz!
Blizzcon in 4 days. I'm honestly curious if they're gonna surprise me or if they're going to disappoint. Not sure which way it's gonna go.
I am half-expecting them to just not talk about new allied races aside more details on Zandalari and Kul'Tirans.
Vulpera have ever-growing indications of becoming Horde. Alliance has a big fat nothing when compared to that.
Unfortunately I think it is safe to presume no Arakkoa or Ogre AR announcement at Blizzcon this year. Though I would love to be wrong.

Well it was worth a shot. But at least we didn't get any bad news.

ARAKKOA ARE A POSSIBILITY! We just need to keep showing our support! Don't falter, no matter how long the wait!

Ogres ftfw!
Let's bring the Horde back to what it resembled when we all thought this faction was cool at our WoW starting point.
