I'm not too excited about races anymore because they will be gated behind some boring grind that requires exalted, and achievements and other stuff.

I don't really care too much about that. It gives me something to do. If I get bored with that, I'll just do some island expeditions.
Yeah the rep grinds aren't that terrible. Granted there's been no new ARs I've really wanted that I've had to grind for yet. Not interested in either Mah'gar or Dark Iron, and I'd done Legion content so had already unlocked Void Elves and Nightborne. I can imagine for those that really want the race it would be frustrating, but... at least they'd be in game and earnable which is way better than nothing at all.
So does anyone have any ideas on why the Arakkoa are pretty much the only group absent from the Mag'har scenario? There's Botani, Breakers, Ogres, Saberon, Rylak and the Mag'har, but not a single Arakkoa.

Super secret plans for later, perhaps...
How about Arakkoa and Saberon? Alliance can have the birds, horde can have the cats, since the alliance already has dogs. So it will be 2 beast races per faction.
Aliiance get birds and dogs (Arakkoa and Worgen)
Horse get cows and cats (Tauren and Saberon)

Stop the spam threads. All you are doing is repeating the same thing over and over again. There is nothing new being discussed. Nothing new was said in the last fifty posts of your last thread. Nothing new in any of the posts so far in this thread. Just stop spamming.
And for mog's sake, stop trying to force an allied race on me. The idea that you can make a trade of one race for the other is twice as insane as the High Elf threads. If you want Ogres, fine, whatever. They were one of the first races Blizz thought about and the first one dumped because it was a bad idea. Everyone but the three people posting here seems to know this. So go wine about Ogres all you want, but don't dump those gawd-awful bird crap things on the Alliance.

I originally didn't think Saberon would be possible for a few reasons, but a small group did make it through to Azeroth after the Mag'har scenario, so I don't know, it's up in the air at this point. If the Horde's able to reason with them, why not?

I'm not sure what you're on about, there has been discussion with the video of the Mag'har recruitment scenario.
Saberon would be an interesting addition to the game, I wonder how that would work. We did work with one in garrisons so who knows, we might find more capable of doing some interesting stuff. Perhaps they'd find some kaja'mite.
Got some interesting pictures last night.

Now this is where the Everbloom is located. Notice how it's surrounded by mountains and is rather secluded. Also, in the Mag'har scenario, the Horde wasn't over in this area.

Not necessarily huge, but maybe big enough to house a few Arakkoa perhaps looking for means for their kind to escape?

Ogre's on the horde are long overdue. They wouldn't be popular per say but I'd gladly play one.
I'd way rather have Arakkoa than ogres. Tons of people want ogres though, I get that. Though I favor Arakkoa way more because to me, they're much more interesting.

Lore richer than Bill Gates.
GIMMIE OGRES
I would think only High Arrakoa would be playable, don't the outcasts succumb to the influence of old gods?
I'm also not a huge fan of the some of those racial abilities, I definitely think Alliance races need more on-use abilities. I'd rather see something like:
Spirit of Rukhmar: Increases your critical strike by 15% to 10 seconds. 3 min cooldown.
I also think Mok'Nathal would work better than Ogres, whose model may be too large and problematic (at least currently) and the Mok'Nathal already have updated male and female models. Although I would love to see Ogres as an allied race since the Stonemaul clan have joined the Horde already and they'd be a lot different visually from Orcs than Mok'Nathal would.
Customization options would obviously have to include 1 and 2 headed variants and I'd definitely give them defensive racial options.

What you're thinking of is the Outlands Arakkoa. High Arakkoa are winged Arakkoa, which the only ones that are still alive are on AU Draenor.
I would love more more active racials for the Alliance, but I'm just trying to leave some suggestions, since in the end, that'd all be Blizz's decision.
I thought Mok'nathal as the counter to Arakkoa before too, but lorewise Ogres just fits so much better. Arakkoa and Ogres are natural rivals, as Arakkoa were the ones to teach arcane magic to the Ogres, but the Ogres betrayed them.
Where can I get my own bird person?
No really which line do I have to wait in?

Hopefully this one!
I got into thought about the ogre thing, though. People that want ogres typically want ones with two heads. I think it's plausible, to be honest. One could just copy the helm and make it the same model on both heads, no? They'd have to have two different voices though.

I think giving players the option to choose between having a single, or two heads would probably be the best. Each having separate customization could get rather interesting as well.
As for voices...getting two wouldn’t be too hard, would it? The only real limitir is how stingy blizz is on their money to do so.
