Arakkoa/Ogre Megathread Pt.2

Hey guys, OP here. I'll be posting from this character for now since it's my main currently. I'll update if there's anything I find out about Arakkoa or Ogres.

We shall sniff out some clues with our worgen snoots
Hi! A little bump for the birbs!
Spreading some information here that I was given on the discord server. In the escape from the lightbound, several draenor races can be seen escaping into azeroth, having been caught in the teleport.

Yes, it's very interesting, I bet it will lead to something grand too. I was shocked when I saw that to be honest, made me raise a brow.
Yeah, there was a couple Botani and Saberon that made it through the shift back to Azeroth. I'm not too worried about the Saberon as their numbers are so small, but the fact that they were even added INTO the end of the scenario there, seen running away, is extremely interesting seeing as the Saberon only ever played an antagonistic roll in Draenor, same for the Botani who were thought to be extinct.

Moving on to the Botani, they worry me a great deal. If they have a chance to rebuild, it's going to spell disaster for any side. Now, luckily, they don't have a Genesaur, but still, given a small period of time, they might be a threat to Azeroth, especially with the rise of Azerite.

Now onto my thoughts on what this means: I had a feeling something strange was going on before with the Arakkoa, but their complete absence in both appearance and mention, all but confirms it. Something is definitely up with them, and I feel that it may be the Lightbound gearing up for an assault against them. They certainly have the tools to do it, with lightforged warframes and crystal cannons. Now I guess we have to wait to see if there's anything in store for the future.
As a bird nerd, I've been in love with the high Arakkoa models since I first saw them. Been begging for them for years. Blizz would definitely get a bunch of my money in race-changes if they were made playable. Would settle for cursed Arakkoa, but I think the still-flighted model would work better with armor, plus it looks fantastic.

I believe both can work. Cursed Arakkoa would need a bit of a model rework, but nothing too ridiculous. We can technically use their models in combat already, which I really like using my cursed feather toy. As for the winged Arakkoa, They'll probably be receiving a load of animations as being the Zandalari boomkin form.

I got a theory that the Kul'tiras boomkin form will be based on the cursed Arakkoa model, which brings both the models up to date, and thus close to being ready for players.
So after thinking over the whole scenario in Draenor, as well as looking at the information presented from Sermon of the High Exarch (https://wow.gamepedia.com/Sermon_of_the_High_Exarch), things just seem incredibly strange on Draenor. At the end of the Mag'har scenario, we see around 5 Saberon fleeing to what looks like the north, and 2 Botani to the south. The ogres and the primals, or what's left, were brought with the Mag'har. That leaves only two known groups on Draenor. The Lightbound and the Order of the Awakened.

Now on to the biggest point I found curious. In the Sermon there, it mentions how they must purge the "infection" that prevents Draenor from being whole. What I find strange about this, is right afterwards, the orcs are referenced, so it wouldn't make sense for them to be the infection. I think that the infection might be something else, the natural enemy of the Light, the Void. And there's a certain race there that believes in a balance of sun and shadow, or in other words, Light and Void. That's what I think the "infection" refers to, the Arakkoa in Arak that believe in that balance.

Whether my thoughts hold any weight, I don't know, only time will tell. This is all probably nothing, and Draenor is now dead to all of us, or it could be set-up for something bigger in the future, Arakkoa included or gone.
Now it's really suspicious, with the other major Draenor races all accounted for except Arakkoa. There's gotta be more to it for our birbs to be the only ones completely absent.
I support this!

I have wanted Arrakoa since the first day I laid eyes on them. I wouldn't care if they were corrupted ones or non corrupted ones, I just want a birb :P

And as for Ogres, well they are an obvious choice, so why not?
I feel like they'd mess up Arakkoa by making them vastly different in appearance by gender (like they did with worgens being wolves and chihuahua) and just slap breasts + anime eyes on the women to call it a day, which makes me not want them
Why not the Arakkoa Outcasts from Outland?
Alliance sent Missionaries of the Light there aeons ago... IIRC Arakkoa interpreted the Light some sort of visage of Anzu.
Skettis Outcasts would be such a positive boon to Alliance in terms of storytelling. Arakkoa as a race are highly in tune with the realm of shadow, and guess where all the void lord !@#$ will probably be? They could buddy up with Void elves and do some SERIOUS work.

Yeah, out of all the groups that we've seen so far, the last one that's missing is the Arakkoa. It's not like Blizz to say they all suddenly died, they have better ways of writing out parts that they don't like. So something is definitely suspicious.

What are you playing at, Blizz?

Luckily there is no difference in appearance for Arakkoa! They are completely androgynous, with Arakkoa usually being the ones to tell them apart. That's why I suggested have both winged/cursed as customization, to add in which form you prefer and the male/female selection would just change voice for /silly and whatnot.

I'm afraid the Arakkoa Outcasts from Outland wouldn't fully work, due to few numbers and lack of variety because no winged Arakkoa remain. I do want them to meet with their AU kin from Draenor. Let them have some sort of happiness.
For the birbs!

I'd really think it'd be neat if they based all that on how the actual bird dimorphism works. Like, males are super colourful, whereas the females could be a bit more subued. Give the males larger crests. If they wanna do the "bubs" thing, just give the females fluffier chest feathers or something.

...I just want birds.

Still planning on naming mine "Irongoose" hehe.
