I know people in this game that have thalassophobia and avoided doing several underwater zones. One even went AFK during the boat ride at the beginning of Court of Stars and refused to use the boats or quest in Booty Bay. A phobia is a phobia, it doesn’t disappear because its a digital spider and not a real spider. Thats not how phobias work friend.
I have an irrational fear of snakes which is why killing snakes in the game is particularly satisfying. I think a little reframing goes a long way when it comes to avoiding phobias being overlaid on a virtual world.
Strange for it to come now and not with all of the spiders that were in Wrath with the highest sub count ever though. Guess it wasn’t an issue then.

I have one phobia and it is spiders. I am very happy games are adding these filters. The recent star wars game even had one and I was super happy for it.

One of them is me. My hubby had to help me get through Vash’jir back in the day and if I run a Throne of Tides key, I have to be summoned. Just the thought of going down that water vortex gives me anxiety.
There’s still that companion pet questline I can’t do because of the deep water, as well.

It was an issue. They even said as much. That’s why they worked on the tech for it now.

And that’s on a per person level. Some people may not be ready for that yet so they have the filter on. When they are ready to delve further and or want to turn it off, they can do so when they want to.
This isn’t an issue.

Having a phobia is an irrational fear, it doesn’t have to make sense to be real. The fact that so many people are judging people simply because they experience fear that you can’t understand is sickening.
I’m so happy that none of you understand the pure fear and anxiety it brings, but you’re not better than anyone else just because you don’t experience it and someone else does.
And no, exposing yourself to your fear doesn’t work on everyone. Again, just because it works for you doesn’t mean everyone else is so lucky.
If you can’t show an ounce of sympathy for your fellow player, then that’s just sad and I feel sorry for you.

Nah wasps are evil, there’s zero redeeming qualities to them.
But honey bees are good, a while ago I was searching Google images. They’re like flower puppies that get all excited when they see a flower and smoosh their face in it. They get completely covered in pollen it’s so cute
Anything bee related reminds me of the alliance bee faction from stormsong valley. That was one of the best experiences I’ve had this game.

I suffer from Acrophobia - fear of heights. While I can handle flying and have lots of fun doing it and deal with other aspects where I might be up high, there are times that it can come into play.
There are some areas that it just hits and I struggle a bit. One was P2 of the Sylvanas fight where you had to cross over those narrow bridges. Anything like that and it can strike. And, as much as I love SWTOR, there are quite a few areas where it can hit even harder as I try to do things in that game.

People really will get upset, argue and complain over anything in this game, even a thing you can toggle on and off that won’t effect anyone around you. Silly.
