It was such an issue that Wrath was the most successful expansion and relaunched without being similarly altered? Such a barrier that 12 (edit: 16 actually?) years after a spider infested expansion they are making the change now?
It really depends on the person. Like I said earlier I wouldn’t touch a snake in real life but taking on a giant one in the game is slightly more satisfying than the average mob.

Oribos going to the portals back to the main cities outside. The ledge to black nothingness. It gets to me every time.
For me, it’s too close to what deep black water is like.

Now who’s being dramatic? Adding an option that is, shockingly, OPTIONAL, is not ruining the game. You don’t have to use it and it doesn’t effect you in any way, shape or form if someone turns it on.
You’re getting mad that someone is using an OPTIONAL setting. You gonna get that mad at someone for turning the sound off? Or toggling subtitles on?
You act as if you’re being forced to use it.

I suffer from anxiety all the time. I am deathly afraid of heights even in this game. I still just let it make me sick and let my heart pound away.

No one said it was a huge issue. Just that it was making people uncomfortable over the years. Maybe listen to the interview that explained it.
