Funny story one of my guild buddies RP’s an orc peon mage, sort of an idiot savant who figured out how to do arcane magic, mainly fire. He doesnt rp often but when he does it is hilarious.

The threads gone off the rails, but I would also like to add on to this further info:
This data throttling will mess with non RP addons like Bagnon, Details, sharing Weak-aura strings, Altaholic, etc. It’s a pretty big change to slip into PTR and Cataclysm Classic without much fanfare or word from Blizzard

Hmm that would be pretty critical. I am wondering if they are looking to do away with addons entirely. that’ll definitely shake things up. Surprising they havn’t mentioned anything about this, I agree.
Also even if the thread has gone off the rails, its in a nice way, which to quote Palpatine: “A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one!”

It would be such a massive change with no heads-up. Surely it can’t be intended, but sometimes Blizzard worries me. I’ll try not to think the sky is falling until it falls, I guess.

Well, hopefully this is a bug if not then the entire rp community will probably just quit almost immediately, not that the treadmill m+ shills care about that.

Hopefully it’s just a bug or something they’re doing for the PTR only, because yeah the RP community is kinda too small to actually get Blizzard to ever care about our complaints. Heck, it takes them weeks to remove sharding after an event despite nonstop threads.

I imagine there would be a mass migration of a decent portion of the RP realms off onto a private server. Not everyone would go, of course… but for a lot of people who primarily still play specifically for RP, such a change would drive them off the game entirely.

Yup, TRP3 is literally the major difference in what makes WoW a great MMO to RP on compared to other major titles. A lot of the RP community tends to be first in line to buy outfits and such, too. RPers are pretty much keeping SWTOR alive at this point.

Then it’s effectively dead anyway right? Because there wouldn’t be many people left, so everyone would just go. But as said a few times already, this would affect their streamer bucks by ripping off the training wheels helping people do mythics. I think the fact that they actually DO care about that means they will backpedal and hard, especially after the guilds with a direct line to them start whining.
