Anyway to get around dragon riding?

At breakneck speed while trying to see rings that are out of my range of vision and fly through them? Absolutely not. That is such a niche requirement that Blizzard decided to make mandatory in the game. I don’t have that sort of hand to eye coordination.

Don’t worry, people will stop complaining after those who can’t do this leave the game.

You do have to plan ahead sometimes…climb early so you can get over something. its definitely different lol.

If youre ok with it…turning down particles to the lowest setting helps that.
Though you lose a lot of the pretty effects lol

It must be HARD! for you being forced to play a game with lesser mortals who have vision or mobility limitations that they claim are keeping them from doing this. You deserve a game with no people with disabilities or physical limitations! You need to rid the game of those people who are hiding behind their disabilities. Yes, mock them and act like a 10 year old to prove you are morally superior to those people. Surely if you make the game even more toxic than elitists like you already have you can help blizzard purge them from the game and make it your safe space where you never might run into normal people.

Did you do that side quest in Bastion where you had to fly through rings that were out of your range of vision at breakneck speed? Changing particle density wouldn’t help me with that. Adding a “ladder” to what they claim is casual content isn’t going to help with that.

I think I skipped it. I HATED that zone lol. Only did what was required.
the particles being turned down/off nearly remove all those vapor trails though

I gave up on flying in expansion packs.

I don’t return to these zones anyway.

Your options to get around dragonriding now are:

  • ride your ground mount on the ground and use flight points; or
  • Autofollow a friend in whelpling form while they dragonride and do the piloting for you.
  • Wait 6-12 months and hope Blizzard adds regular flight at a later date as they indicated they might.

Rather than writing off dragonriding on the first day, perhaps it would be wiser to put a bit more time into practicing dragonriding and gathering all the glyphs. Play with it for a week or two and see if you still feel the same way.

Fixed it for you.

Also, yeah, nice job implying that motion sick people can’t have fun in a video game without doing a sick all over their computer screens.

Dragon riding isn’t hard. It is really annoying and anti exploration though.

It is fun in the racing and going through hoops (but they need to get rid of some of the trees that have hidden branches that screw up a race because you weren’t picture perfect with your angling).

The problem is that there is an energy bar that forces you to only fly so long or makes difficult to simply search the map for glyphs or resources/treasures. Many times I would be forced to sit on the ground waiting for all my energy just so that I can fly up the tall mountain and get the ore up top since blizzard decided to put all the ore on top of mountains with no way to walk up.

If they don’t want to add regular flying they need to speed up the energy regain and let it come back during regular flight. Or get rid of that period. It honestly feels like they designed it specifically to slow people down from either grinding resources or looking for treasure too fast.

Dragonriding is not required. If you don't want to dragonride, you can ride your ground mount.

Nice job not reading the rest of the thread and jumping to conclusions.

I did all the side quests my first time through because I was planning on doing Loremaster.

All 175+ posts to find the mystical magic post you’ve never mentioned prior?.. Maybe you should’ve said what you’ve said below in that comment i’ve responded, instead of saying “why people hate fun”. Not my fault that you’ve said that. :man_shrugging:

I wish I could see through your eyes to understand why you can’t trigger one of two actions while slanting your little dragon downward. I just wanna know where the “physically incapable” part comes in, are you blowing through a tube to move your toon and it doesn’t have a down option?

I did most of it only in Revendreth cuz that was my covenant zone for my main.
I just couldnt get into SLs. I have very few mogs from the expansion and maybe a handful of the easier mounts.

It is required to do some of the main story line. And also for some items that are up high.

If you’re going to jump to conclusions on a discussion you were never even a part of, I’m going to expect you to actually contextualize it by reading the thread. That comment was about 20 comments down from the one you responded to, so it’s not like it was deeply buried in the thread, anyways.

And it’s not my fault or responsibility to contextualize it for you on account that you can’t read the thread. My initial response had nothing to do with being physically incapable of doing dragon riding. OP never mentioned being physically incapable of doing dragon riding. His post seems less about inaccessibility and more about just not liking it, so your assumed implications about my remarks are not my problem, chief.

lol…its part of the main questline.
